« This hotel seemed pretty popular with people passing through and was reasonably priced. There were not many amenities, but there was porch chairs and a fire pit on the grounds with some views of the mountains. Mini golf was available for a fee. Staff was pretty friendly and there was biscuits and gravy on Sunday morning but not Saturday. I think this was an adequate stay and near Davis, Thomas and the state parks. »

All I needed to cook meals with stove, microwave, pots/pans, coffeemaker; Small space but just right for my solo retreat at waterfalls, rivers, trails for hiking! Highly recommend !! »

« We stayed at Bessie end of May and had a great trip. The area was very quiet and the home was perfect for our 4 adults. We were celebrating a birthday and the house had a nicely stocked kitchen for cooking breakfasts. We visited waterfalls and hiked around the area. For dinner we went to Billy’s Motel which had a surprising menu. We also drove about 40 minutes to Elkins to have a birthday celebration at The Folks Inn and Restaurant in Elkins.
