The staff was friendly and provided information about the covered bridges in the area. The hotel was close to the freeway exit and had a spa so we could unwind after a day of driving. We only had an hour to walk around the town but will come back for a few days in the future and will stay in this hotel again.

We were on a road trip from Vancouver Island to southern California and took a chance on the Candlewood Suites in Eugene which we hadn't stayed at before. A bit off the beaten track, but easy to access from the I-5. We found the hotel to be clean and quiet with spacious rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Excellent, large screen TV and wi-fi access. Check-in was efficient and friendly.

The only things that could be vastly improved upon: the bathroom towels were unbelievably thin (hand and bath) and the bed pillows were very lumpy. The bed itself was very comfortable and had good linens.
I suspect the issue with the towels and pillows are due to are...
