Lakefront with Stunning Views!

  • PICS UPDATED/TAKEN 9/1/26. Lemonade Paradise is the perfect place to slow down, soak the the scenery, and enjoy the laid-back lake life on beautiful Lake of Egypt. One of the best features of our home is the incredible sunsets! SWIM and watch the sky light up from your own private dock, relax beneath the pergola around the fire, unwind in the hot tub, or settle into one of the covered patios with your favorite drink. Prefer to stay cozy inside? You can enjoy the sunset views right from the comfort of the living room couch.

    There's plenty of room for the whole family to spread out and relax. The home features 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, two full kitchens, and two living areas, with comfortable spaces located throughout the home.

    The upper level offers two bedrooms, while the main level features a comfortable king bed. The lower level includes a full-sized bed with trundle, along with it's own living area, full kitchen, and full bathroom with washer and dryer- making a great space for families, teenagers, or guest who appreciate a little extra privacy.

    When you are ready to get out in the water, guests have access to two kayaks, including one two-person kayak, perfect for a peaceful paddle around the lake.

    Want to make you lake day even more memorable? A PONTOON BOAT AND JET SKI ARE AVAILABLE FOR RENT, giving you even more ways to explore Lake of Egypt and enjoy everything the water has to offer. The boat is used, but heavily discounted from the marina's nearby. You can also keep this boat from daylight until dark and not from 9-5 like the marina's. AND, the boat is ready and waiting for you, so you won't have to make any arrangements to pick one up.

    Lemonade Paradise, a cozy lakefront retreat tucked away on Lake of Egypt in the heart of Shawnee National Forest. Built in 1998, our home has the rustic charm of a well-loved lake house, with a few reminders of it's years making memories. While our home is clean and cared for, you will notice some natural signs of age and minor wear and tear. Enjoy 4 BR, 3 BA, 2 kitchens, 2 LR's, a boat dock, decks, patios, fire pit, pergola, grill, and near by boat ramp. Pets welcome

    Guests have access to neighborhood boat ramp directly next door to the house.

    Come kick back, breathe a little easier, and experience Lake of Egypt. When life gives you LEMONS, come make LEMONADE at Lemonade Paradise!

Amazing family trip!!

We had a great experience on Lake of Egypt at the Lemonade Paradise house!! From fishing & laying out at the dock to navigating the pontoon boat around the lake our family had such a wonderful trip there!! Looking forward to our next trip there!!

Perfect centered location at Lake of Egypt

Property was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Easy to find and centrally located on the lake. Great views from covered porch and dock. Would definitely consider staying at this same location again on future visits!

Amazing lake house!

The pictures online didn't do this place justice the lake house and view were amazing. My family had a great time, and we're already looking into dates to come back. The owner was also fast to respond to our questions. I highly recommend this lake house.

Lemonade Paradise was a fabulous family trip

We were here to drop our son at SIU for move in. Thanks Lance you were a great host and had everything ready for us when we got there! So many things to entertain us- games, the outdoor pit, swinging bench on the porch, the boat… if you stay here have fun!

Lake house experience

We liked having the lake view from the upper and lower level. We liked having easy access to the dock for fishing and renting the owners boat and jet ski. We drove about an hour to see the GARDEN OF THE GODS. which was great. Lance was very responsive and friendly.

I’m choosy about cleanliness and this was the cleanest VRBO my family has ever stayed at! It was just as pictured in the listing. There is very good parking and the views are amazing. We had lots of fun with the water amenities and swimming. We hope to return next year.

Great experience on the lake. Wonderful deck. Great sunsets. There was a bald eagle in the tree in the yard overlooking the lake. Comfortable beds. Great hot tub. Clean kitchen and baths. Amazing owner communication.

River to River Run place for 8 to 10

Wonderful place on the Lake of Egypt. Lots of space and places to sleep and cook and relax. Big parking area. Very private. Owner was gracious and responsive. Worked out great for whole group. We came from 5 different places from around the country. Would stay here again when in the area.

Wonderful vacation!!!!

Lemonade paradise…, we truly enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable home. We fished everyday! Very comfortable beds. And the owner is very responsive and will make sure you have all you need for your stay. The grounds are gorgeous as well and quite…. All except for the cicadas!!! We were obviously there during mating season and they definitely let their presence be known… all in all it was a great stay and we will definitely be back as soon as we can!

The location is unbeatable. The house is beautiful. We could feel the attention to detail and pride the owners have in everything , down to the fancy lighting fixtures and welcoming lemonade in the fridge. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms were well stocked; the house was both professionally presented while also being comfortably unpresumptuous. The rate was more than fair and made the stay even that much more enjoyable. Loved it in every way. Thank you for opening your home !

A great way to practice for retirement

When life tells you that you’re turning another year older it’s time to take your furry friend and go to the lake. We had a great time fishing and practicing retirement at this beautiful home with a view. Our host was very prompt in answering our questions and meeting our needs. The home provided us with all ours needs and then some. We highly recommend giving this a try. Thank you for being a pet friendly host.

Fantastic Holiday Weekend

My husband and I stayed at Lemonade Paradise along with my best friend. We had a great time and waking up with the lake view was beautiful. We were treated to fireworks by the neighboring homes and they finished by 11pm. We didn't use the downstairs kitchen but it was nice to have the option. We had a minor issue, but the property owner was very quick to respond and we were able get it taken care of. The area is beautiful and we would love to visit the property again. Thanks for sharing your space with us!

Great home with beautiful view of the lake.

We loved the three levels in the home with bed/beds and a bathroom on each level. We loved sitting on the deck watching the sunset over the lake. The beds were comfortable. BTW - the bottom level has all the features of a separate apartment but connects to the upper levels. We had two issues the property. The dishes provided were cheap plastic with cuts in the plastic. The dishes didn't fit on the top shelf (for plastic) of the dishwasher. Some Corelle dishes would be a nice replacement. Also the Lemonade rugs need cleaning and and the rug in kitchen slides around. It needs something to keep in in place. Also the gas for one of the firepits is not provided. On the whole, we did love our week at this property.

The best of Lake Living!

Lemonade Paradise is just that. It is a break away from worries and responsibilities. The Lake House had everything from fire pit to hot tubs to kayaks and bags. We celebrated a graduation with close family and friends and it was fabulous. Slept 6 super comfortably and we could’ve slept more. Really enjoyed working with Lance. He was responsive and attentive to our needs and questions. I would go back to this place in a heartbeat. I wish I found it earlier during the first three years of my son’s experience at Carbondale.
