"Freshly done up, practical accommodation, close to the services on the High Street. Parking close by, with two cars, was never problem. Obviously a well-run establishment, with plenty of space. The shower was a bit cosy, but there was a nice-looking bath we never got round to using."

"We had a lovely couple of nights at the Bear Hotel. Room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Only very slight negative on room, was that on our first night, we could only get luke-warm water from the shower. Ate in the restaurant and meal was good quality overall. Service in restaurant was a little slow and lacking some attention to detail but pleasant all the same. Will happily return to stay here again, and plan to do so."

"In all, the place was in general a nice place too stay. I would recommend too bring a fan as there is no air conditioning or fans supplied. I was able too purchase one at a big supermarket a few miles away. I wouldn't recommend the Kingfisher cabin we stayed in for families with very small children due to some steep steps from the corridor down too the kitchen. Older children no problem. The host seemed nice enough and didn't bother us. The property allows pets but dogs must kept on a lead in...
