The Inverness Denver, a Hilton Golf & Spa Resort

"While we enjoyed the resort in its entirety, the rooms aren’t all much to write home about. With paying for something of this quality, one would hope the rooms would mimic the rest of the resort. The bed was ok, sheets and linens were ok, tv was ok, but again, nothing super spectacular. Hotel restaurant wasn’t up to par for what you pay for the meal, the staff seemed frazzled for how many people that were being waited on, & our room window only opened about two inches. I understand that’s for specific safety reasons, but for the cost of the room one would think you’d be able to enjoy the breeze from the Colorado air since our room faces the golf course and we had sun coming in directly on our side so we had to keep the shades shut and the AC was not very cold at all (we cranked it down to 60 and it was NOT 60). The hotel itself was fine… But things like the caulking in the bathrooms and window sills needed major attention, there were no complimentary toiletries in the rooms (Q-tips, nail file, mini lotions, etc) and there weren’t any available to purchase at the desk; our branded hotel lotion bottle was empty when we got to our room, so it was either not checked or ignored. I understand it seems like a small thing, but all these little things added up don’t convince me to come back to stay again. The resort was well maintained but the rooms themselves didn’t warrant the cost. If I were to pay this much for a room, I would hope that these issues wouldn’t exist."

"First issue was check in. Check in time is 3pm, we were unable to check into the room until 6:30pm due to it not being ready. Second issue was the state of the shower. It looked like it was out of a horror film. We had to go to a local store to buy flip flops just to take a shower. Third issue was the state of the mattresses. They had about 4 layers of linin on them to help cover up the state of the mattress itself. It was stained to all getup and was not very comfortable. Once we were able to get checked in and settled we took a trip down to the pool/hot tub. Pool was OK, not great but it did its job. The hot tub jets sounded like an airplane engine. For it being an indoor pool area this was extremely loud. Overall the room served its overall purpose of sleep, but it was nothing to write home about. I usually look the other way on one issue, but to have 4 issues within one night sucks. We ended up not even staying the second night."

"Bedding was not clean, hand towels were not clean, property felt run down and poorly maintained, including room interior. Toilet seat was falling apart. There was vandalism inside the room. Room felt dirty. Bed was not comfortable at all. Staff at front desk was friendly enough complete check in transaction but not much more than that. Front desk was not staffed for check out. Overall would not recommend or return to stay again."

"Our room was supposed to be cleaned every other day, but on the day it should have been cleaned, no one showed up. No clean towels, no trash dumped, nothing. Also, we didn't find out until morning two, that the buffet was $16 a person, which on day 1 no one gave us tickets, front desk didn't mention anything on check in, no one mentioned anything, so it took us by surprise, because it was a standard continental breakfast, nothing fancy. So overall, it was a nice stay, there was just some little things that could have been better."

"I had a great experience staying at this hotel, thanks to the fantastic staff of Latinas running the place! From the front desk to the housekeepers to the breakfast staff, I was in excellent hands with these ladies. Friendly, efficient, and the rooms and hotel were extremely clean. Latinas and Latinos keep this country running and I'm so grateful! Can't wait to stay here again on my next trip to Denver!!"
