Pros - great location. Steps from shops and pubs. Cons - there is nobody on site and there is no 24/7 front desk as listed. Not sure what you would do in an emergency. The carpets in the hallway and room were very dirty. Mattress was uncomfortable and old. Mold on the walls and in bathroom. You only get one key, so this can be very challenging as there is no front desk to let you in main entrance. There is no parking and the cheapest option was 70 euros for two nights in a public parking lot. The WiFi is terrible and very spotty. The walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbors. Very poor water pressure in the shower. I would not stay here again.

Billed as a B&B but there is no breakfast served- ever. Hotel carpet is dirty/stained, stairway very dusty, showers contained empty bottles labeled “body wash,” and there is no one on site to ask for help. Expedia should be ashamed for even listing this business.

BLACK MOLD! As soon as you walk in you smell the mold very strongly. We had to sleep with the window open due to the horrible tench (downstairs is a bunch of bars so there was no sleep). The toilet would flush even though toilet paper was not deposited. There was no breakfast so there is no reason to call it “B&B”. The place is not kept up. Stains on carpet, dirty bathroom, and so small. The walls are paper thin so even if the neighbors were quiet, you heard them. Overall, very happy i only stayed one night.

Great little place, but keep in mind two things- this little place is above a pub so music playing till 1:00 am at night. Do not park your rental in the Merchants Quay car park. We were delayed because we couldn’t access the car park.

At request I send my ETA: arrive by train in Cork at 13.41. We arrived at the accommodation shortly before 14.00. No reaction at doorbell nor on e-mail. Next attempt 14.15 - no reaction. Tried telephon: answer! Some minutes later the frontdoor was opened. Friendly reception by young woman. Got the immediate message that "they has stopped with breakfasts, a bakery was opposite the street I feel misled, booked a B&B, got just a single B..

ON POSITIVE SIDE, room SATISFACTORY in GOOD LOCATION , CENTRAL TO SHOPS REATAURANTS, PUBS.--- ON NEGATIVE SIDE , Arrived 2:30 pm (following 6 hour flight & 3 hour train ) I rang bell, knocked on door for about 30 minutes. Apparently, no one at property. Finallly , went to visitor center and they were able to contact owner. Obviously some miscommunication about check in procedures. In any case, not used to arriving at lodging and not being able to have access to room. I had made decision to stay additional day in Cork, but next morning , again no one available to speak with, so checked into another hotel . I think that under the circumstance, I would stick to standard Hotel/Motel lodging.
