"We had a riverview room with a well equipped kitchenette and full sized fridge (which was quite noisy as was the air conditioning). The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and we appreciated the binoculars and bird guide in our room to make the most of the views through the trees to the river. The gardens were colourful and well tended. Although in a convenient location for exploring the Columbia River area, the lodge is a few miles outside the town centre, be aware that street parking is chargeable in the centre of Hood River. "

"Really nice hotel with a river view if you want. It’s also got a view of the freight railway track. We counted one train with 199 units. They didn’t bother us and stopped before we settled down for the night. Breakfast in taken in a neighbouring building and was really good."
