Stayed at this hotel last year. It has aged 5+ years in just 1 year. The hotel looks amazing from the outside that is.
Inside, hallway carpets have bulges everywhere, carpet installation required to stretch the bulges. Maintenance is lacking.
Food felt like Groundhog Day… same thing every morning. There wasn’t even peanut butter! What???
Service was impeccable though. Area very safe and quiet.
BW is a great hotel. Don’t shame it. Please maintain the inside as much as the outside.

Stayed here for two nights while touring Wilmington and the beaches.
We enjoyed our stay here. Location was good. Didn't feel like the safest area of town but it was close to lots of things (target, food etc). Hotel lobby was modern and the staff was very helpful and friendly at check in!
The room was good. Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet.
The only negative thing was the pool area was a mess. We went two days in a row to the pool just after lunch time. There were no clean pool...

We loved our second time at the Avista. The condo, amenities and especially our favourite staff member Coach. We also want to thank Bryan for going above and beyond to store our luggage and the girl working the restaurant the evening of 26/08/26 for giving us sugar packets as we ran out on our last night.
