This home features modern upgrades, furnishings, and decor, providing an elegant living experience. Fantastic Views But...
Overall, our stay at this house was OK. We were looking for a secluded home in the mountains & that’s what we got. The view is the best thing that this property has to offer. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any wildlife. Location is about 10-15 minutes from Woodland Park, which has many restaurants & grocery store. A few things to note: 1. The electronic lock with a 9-digit code is a hassle. Instructions were wrong. 2. The lighting is all or none. Only can lights in the ceilings with no dimmers. No lamps or nightlights. 3. It was not clear to me that the main floor consists of the living room, kitchen, dining room & 1 full bathroom. The upstairs has 1 bedroom & the other bedroom/bathroom are downstairs. 4. Elevation is 9100+” 5. Upstairs bedroom now has a double bunk bed in addition to queen. TV is unusable due to this. 6. Sheets were awful; scratchy & hot. 7. WiFi is spotty due to mountains. Must use provided Roku for streaming due to password needing to be entered via web browser. 8. No screens on doors/windows. 9. Inflatable hot tub looks like it’s for only 2 people 10. Fairly clean 11. Fireplace didn’t work 12. No recycling 13. Minimal cookware & silverware very cheap 14. The home seems to be owned by a corporation & managed by Vacasa. I felt very informed of everything during the booking process/leading up to our stay. Someone from the company should spend 1 night at the property to see all that needs improvement. Not enough characters to elaborate :(

Wonderful stay with great views
Very clean and bright place, short drive to stores and center of Woodland park(lots of places for adults and children to visit). Also not too far from other attractions(garden of the gods, cave of the winds, pikes peak, etc.). Plenty of space for our family of 4 , the WiFi would occasionally be a bit spotty but we were not home enough for it to really bother us. We have T-mobile and our service was still usable. One of our worries was not having AWD/4x4 for the drive up to the home but luckily it was not needed. Though we can for sure see it being needed during winter and wet months. We did not get the chance to use the hot tub during the stay but it was well kept and ready for use. Another concern with us coming in from Texas was not having AC with the temps being close to 80 F-90 F during the day but honestly was not needed(if it did get warm we would just turn the fans on and this was sufficient or step outside and enjoyed the mountain breeze). The heaters worked well when the nights got down to 50 F. The only complaint we would have with someone that really enjoys home cooked meals would just be the kitchen not having some equipment(can opener, mixing bowls, knife that actually cuts,etc.) but this wasn’t a deal breaker and at the end of the day we were there for vacation and not to cook full course meals. Overall great experience 9.5/10 would stay again!

Beautiful with nature’s challenges
This home was a great place to get away and take in the beautiful views. It was comfortable and clean. We really didn’t want to leave! However, due to snow store coming before our check out we had to leave to avoid getting stuck. The roads are extremely challenging and 4x4 is a MUST, which luckily we had. It was still a little tricky though. The kitchen needs more cookware and a bigger coffee pot. I also think the hot tub situation was disappointing. We knew it was inflatable per the listing but it was stored away due to previous snowy weather I’m assuming, so we didn’t even try to use it.

Be prepared!
Everything was absolutely perfect inside the house!! The issues we had were not house, but road and weather related 4 wheel drive is 100% necessary there is a hill near the house and it will be absolutely impossible with out it!! We had to be towed twice, bought snow cables, and eventually rented an suv. The views are amazing!! The windows 😍😍😍 My only reason for not giving an A+ was the art hanging on the walls—-just kind of random pics —nothing matched —there were pictures of dogs, beachish (it’s in the mountains not on the beach?) Americana And this huge painting of the ugliest orange flower ever!! The walls were so much prettier when I just took the art down and left them beautifully bare 🙃 It was too cold for the hot tub so we didn’t get to try it—the appliances are very nice—it was such a beautiful home!! Be prepared for lots of stairs!!!! Wild turkeys and deer all around the property 💜💜💜 I would definitely recommend staying in summer 10/10!!!
