A huge patio with automatic/wind sensor awning offers plenty of shade and outdoor seating (seats 16+). Patio also include Propane bbq and fire pit. House includes waterproof Portable bluetooth speaker. Location is less than 10 miles to US Air Force Academy, walmart, grocery store, gas station, fast-food, movie theater and downtown monument. The location is safe for kids-no busy streets, off of a secluded private dirt road and beautiful private forest. The home is located at a higher elevation of about 7400 ft surrounded by forest, so the home was built with passive cooling design in mind. Well stocked and large kitchen to accommodate all! Pool, hot tub, swing set, wood burning fireplace, bunk beds and game room, who could ask for more! The house was in great condition and was cleaned well prior to us coming. No green pool, no dust bunnies, sheets on all of the beds, and plenty of towels too. Given some of the bad reviews in the past I was actually pleasantly surprised that none of those things were an issue, and they deserve 5 stars for that, for sure. The owner is a tad overly strict with her rules but we still had a great time and only felt like we were walking on eggshells around the pool area and vaping/smoking rules specifically. Driving all the way off the property and out of the neighborhood just to hit a vape that doesn’t leave any residues or smells, smoke/vape cannabis that is legal in Colorado, or even smoke cigarettes/cigars feels incredibly excessive, and was definitely something that could be mitigated by just asking people to vape or smoke outside and be mindful of having a receptacle for cigarette butts and ashes. Adults are generally incredibly respectful when asked to be, especially around something as personal and looked down on as a smoking habit. As for the pool, she asked that only 3-4 adults be in it at a time, but that kind of defeats the purpose of an indoor pool at a gathering space. We would have really liked to have been able to have 5-10 of us in there at least but felt like we would get “in trouble” if we did so. Other than that, it was great. We stayed with a group of friends - the guys hiked pikes peak over two days - while the women and children explored Colorado. The house accommodated all of us perfectly. There was a lot of cookware, which we appreciated, especially when all 16 of us ate together. My one “complaint” is that none of the bedrooms had curtains or blinds to keep the sunlight from shining in our eyes. Also, for the amount we paid, I would have expected it to be somewhat cleaner than it was, but that didn’t affect our experience. Thank you for opening up your home to us! The master suite is wonderful. Dream kitchen with plenty of seating and amenities. The only thing we couldn't find was a pizza cutter. The pool is an added perk and we all enjoyed it. The hot tub was dreamy in the evenings with the firepit lit and the clear starry sky. The view of Pike's Peak is beautiful. We painted rocks to leave behind for other visitors to find. Rock painting night was so much fun!!! Our hostess was very easy to reach and responded quickly any time she was needed. It was the most amazing place and perfect location. 20 of us on one house and never felt like we were on top of each other. All we can talk about how wonderful of a place we stayed at. Plenty of space, things to do for each age group, could sleep even when kids yellinh, laughing, and having fun. Easy access to all the wonderful places and activities CO has to offer and see. The kitchen was VERY well stocked which was a plus. The check-in was easy and the hosts were very accommodating!! The only complaint would be and wasn’t a huge deal, but we could have used another bathroom to two. We had a wonderful week with our whole family. So many different games to keep the kids occupied. The kids also loved the pool and of course everyone loved the hot tub. It was very spacious so we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The view from all around the house is stunning during sunrise/sunset. Kitchen has all the utensils and appliances you need for cooking. Large table to sit a large family all together - no need to split anyone. We are easy going people - so for us, this is a 5 star stay and would return again. I will mention some things for consideration that others might knock down a star in future: for the amount of people this place holds, more towels would be great. We were scrounging for towels and had to do multiple washes to maintain clean towels. Tables were still sticky and a little black mold in the pink kids room bathroom. We do safety checks wherever small children stay and the large armoire in the pink kids room isn’t anchored. So make sure any little ones know to be mindful. I saw a previous comment regarding a lot of house rules when we were originally looking for a place to stay and I will agree there were a lot of rules that are sent prior to arrival. With that said, if your lifestyle in your own home includes a typically clean home and you are individuals who respect other people’s property - then you’ll be fine. This isn’t a hotel - this is someone’s home and you’ll need to do the typical chores. Like trash, etc. ##### Jessica L. We especially enjoyed the new pool table and had a family competition. The kitchen was very spacious and well stocked. The over sized dining room table was perfect for our whole family of 13\. My husband and I thought the master suite was wonderful. We enjoyed the view while spending time outside. The patio furniture itself was worn, yet served its purpose. We enjoyed the large hot tub, and the outdoor fire pit was perfect for our s’mores. This home is well suited to accommodate large groups of varied ages. Everyone had a comfortable bed, places to sit and eat, and plenty of room to spread out! Everyone loved the beautiful outdoor areas with space to explore. The amenities were top notch and everyone appreciated the pool, hot tub, arcade games, foosball, shuffle board, and pool table. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped and is well designed for feeding a large group. The owners were excellent to work with and had great communication. It was clean, plenty of comfortable beds, kitchen amenities for cooking and plenty of places to congregate as a group inside and out. The property is beautiful with a view of Pike's Peak. The lap pool was a hit and it was very clean as well. Host was very prompt and responsive to inquires and very easy to work with. We look for a property with lots of space and activitiesThis property had it all! The pool was a favorite with the grand kids and some of the adults did early morning laps. The wood burning fireplace was such a nice treat from the gas one we have at home. Nothing like a crackling fire when it’s single digits outside. The hot tub was a favor for the Adults.
