Fox Den Cozy Mountain Apt In GMF

Enjoy the best Colorado has to offer in this stylish bottom-level apartment. Featuring 1 bedroom, a cozy living room, hand-crafted bathroom, and custom kitchenette. The shared front porch overlooks the beautiful Gazebo Lake of Green Mountain Falls. Free parking is available on the property and you will be within walking distance of Green Mountain Falls' unique and delicious local restaurants, parks, hiking trails, and shops. We can't wait to share Colorado's best little mountain town with you!

Your space is one of three private apartments in our cabin, and is separate from the two other apartments. We have NO central air conditioning in the unit, but we do have a mini split unit in the living room and in the bedroom for your heating and cooling needs. You can also open windows and enjoy the cool evening air! You will probably be able to hear the guests moving about in the other units, but we do ask that all of our guests be considerate of those who stay in the other apartments. Within your newly furnished apartment there is one bedroom with a very comfortable Queen bed and a Full size pull out couch in the living room. You will have your own propane grill to use right in front of your apartment door while you enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife of Green Mountain Falls. The space has an Amazon Firestick that includes a variety of streaming services. Feel free to log into your favorite streaming services during your stay. We ask that all smoking be done away from the property. Absolutely no smoking inside or outside of the home.

Guests are provided with their own parking area where one car can park. There is a parking sign with the name of your cabin on it ("Fox Den"). Please be considerate of the other guests and leave room for 2 other cars to fit in the parking area. If a second vehicle needs parking there is public parking down the hill by the lake. It is a 4 min to walk back up to the cabin. Please do not park on the street.

We are happy to provide recommendations or help if you need it. We love Green Mountain Falls, and we want you to love it too!

The neighborhood is very quiet, but very close to some cute shops and restaurants in the heart of Green Mountain Falls. We really enjoy The Pantry, The Blue Moose, and The Gazebo Lake. We are located 6 miles from the entrance of Pikes Peak, 11 miles from Garden of the Gods, and 13 miles from downtown Colorado Springs. Enjoy the laid back mountain town where people come to relax and unwind. Close to conveniences but far enough away to feel remote!

We recommend that you do not rely completely on Uber or Lyft to get around. Most Uber or Lyft drivers remain in the Colorado Springs area, and do not venture to Green Mountain Falls. An all wheel drive (AWD) or 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended in the winter/snowy months! (November-May)

Please note that we offer two options to protect both you and the property, ensuring it remains in excellent condition for you and future guests: a non-refundable Damage Waiver for a small fee $50, or a refundable Safety Deposit hold on your card of $1000, which covers potential damages during your stay. If you are bringing a pet, please know there will be a pet fee of $10 per pet. These options will be presented to you after booking via our Guest App.

Travel insurance is recommended. As with any vacation, unexpected situations sometimes occur that can put a damper on even the best-planned trips. We stand by our firm by our cancelation policy and getting travel insurance is your best option for protecting your trip from the unexpected.

***For stays longer than 30 nights we do require a lease agreement, background check, copy of drivers license, and a one time insurance fee to be paid before your arrival. The one time insurance fee for stays 30-90 nights it will be an additional $750, 30-180 nights would be $1000, 30-270 nights would be $1250, and 270-364 nights would be $1500***

For reservations longer than 30 days, we charge a doubled cleaning fee due to the increased time and effort required for maintaining the property. This additional fee helps ensure the space is thoroughly cleaned after an extended stay.

Quiet Hours are from 9pm to 8am. No more than the authorized # of guests at the house during quiet hours.

No disruptive events or parties. Airbnb guidelines state that if a guest is reported for a disruptive party or violating Airbnb's party and events policy, they may be subject to suspension or removal from the Airbnb Platform. In addition, the host may also ask that you vacate the property and no refund will be given.

Fee schedule for violating house rules:
-Unauthorized late check-out: $50 immediately, $50 for every 30 minutes after checkout (i.e. +$100 at 30 min after checkout, $150 at an hour after checkout).
-Smoking of any kind in the unit or on the premises: $100
-Unauthorized Parties or events: $250
-Pet cleaning fee (if pet uses the bathroom in the house, or has excessive shedding, etc.): $100-$300
-Deep clean fee, if required (i.e. vomit, carpet stain, bodily fluids, or excessive trash, etc.): $100
-Broken/damaged items: charged at replacement value

Space for one vehicle per unit! Park in the designated spot. If parking for a second vehicle is needed there is public parking down by the lake. It’s a 4min walk up to the property!

I stayed in the Spring and it was a very beautiful and peaceful stay. Very calm place for 1-2 people. Green Mountain Falls is great Mountain Town place to be and its a great place for exploring the area while also being able to explore Manitou and the city which are still nearby. I will definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.

Horrific and misleading

This place is wildly deceiving. The photos look really great. Green Mountain Falls is a cute town and there are a lot of cute cabins, I recommend going somewhere else. I was a property manager for four years and cleaned properties myself, always putting my guests first. Upon arrival, I checked into a place that smelled like animal urine. It was not vacuumed or mopped before change over. Like a lot of property management companies and not private owners, they don’t have much integrity in their businesses. The towels were wet and there was still hair in the shower & sink from previous guests. There was food in the kitchen sink with the silverware drawer. I attempted to resolve this with the host the first night, hoping for an apology and resolution. I wake up to her opening my door telling me to get off the property. I have some disabilities that required my husbands assistance to leave in time, as she called the police to leave. Over her negligence and poor property management, she calls the police on me. She tells the police she will refund me for the remaining two days and she doesn’t. She didn’t refund me at all. I am now having to seek assistance outside of this platform to get my money back. VRBO isn’t helping me get my money back either. Aggressive, illegal, discriminatory behavior for something that was her fault to begin with. I do not recommend staying here at all. The reviews on other platforms talk about the cleanliness being an issue as well. Stay far away.

Cute small space

Very cute space. Nice deck. We were ending a longer trip with a lot of food that needed storage The place is great for a couple of nights- not for extensive stays since there is no cooking stove ( they have an old hot plate) Little quaint, eclectic town in great vicinity of Pike’s Peak, Garden of the Gods etc. overall a nice stay for 3 nights.

Amazing location and cabin!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Fox Den cabin, and we loved absolutely everything about it. The cabin itself was clean and quiet. The location is amazing (nowhere near highway or loud roads). There’s a bar within walking distance that is so friendly, beaming with locals and has a great menu for food and local brews! We’re staying here every time we go to CO.
