"Everything was provided that one could possibly need and then some on the room. The grounds are impeccable with the most beautiful gardens. The lake view was beautiful and so relaxing from the front yard or from our own balcony. The employees were so pleasant and accommodating. Restaurants were lovely with delicious food. I will definitely return."

"All of the staff were friendly. breakfast was good. the hotel was very understaffed. I let the young lady at the desk know that the lobby restrooms were in need of cleaning. she went to do it herself. Our toilet broke on day 2 of a three day stay. The young man at the desk tried to fix it. It needed a part that he didn't have. So we need to remove the lid from the tank and reach in to flush. When we tried to check out the young man watching the desk was unable to do so. He didn't have the password to access the computer. I want you to know that none of this was the fault of the staff we encountered. They all went out of their way to be helpful. The problem was due to being woefully understaffed every day of our visit."

Would’ve loved to know more information about the area but we were on our own except for information in the window. Loved being able to park and walk to the stores. Wished the restaurant would’ve been open. Loved being part of the It’s a Wonderful Life event."

"The Green Duck is a delightful cottage with everything we could want for a getaway, and we highly recommend it!The house is cheerful and clean. It has A/C window units, but we mostly just opened the windows and set up some fans, and got a wonderful lake breeze to keep it comfortable.The location is perfect! Right above the water, very private compared to most waterfront properties, and yet close to shopping, some of our favorite wineries, and some really good restaurants. The hot tub is amazing and once you get it up to temperature it's pretty easy to keep it there for successive uses. Go for a quick dip with your morning coffee and fantastic views of the lake!Jonny is a gracious host, provides just about everything you might need, and is very responsive. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at the Green Duck again!"
