![If you plan to visit Yellowstone and then drive to Badlands or Mt. Rushmore or Devils Tower National Monument, I can highly recommend to take a little detour and drive the Beartooth pass, starting in the north east of Yellowstone in Cooke City. It is one of the most scenic drives in the US. 
The photo here shows the Twin Lakes.

« A family business run by great people. The cabins are like new and the compound is kept immaculate. 4 digit keyless entry to cabin, showers, laundry, so you can't lock yourself out. Ideal base camp location for day trips to Yellowstone, Beartooth Mountains, Cody, Chief Joseph Highway, Sunlight Basin, Pryor Mountains, Red Lodge, Powell, and others. What cannot be overstated or even adequately conveyed is the view all the way around. Beartooth Mountains in your face to the north, Pryor Mountains...

The cabins appear to be new and very well built. If you want to experience Wyoming or Cowboy life—this is for you. If you want the amenities of a Marriott—don’t go there. « The cabins are cozy and clean. Air conditioning was a plus. Bathrooms are in separate cabins and are kept very clean. Blackstones and outdoor kitchen to cook on. Fire pit was a plus as well. Very nice for the price. I would definitely stay here again! »

« J'ai passé un excellent séjour à l'hôtel Quality Inn à Red Lodge, Montana. La qualité était de très bonne facture, et les chambres, bien que petites, semblaient récemment rénovées. Le confort était impeccable, ce qui a grandement contribué à une expérience agréable. Le service était un tout petit peu lent, mais toujours très souriant et aimable. Un endroit charmant pour se reposer après une journée d'exploration. »

"What a wonderful place! The informations provided by Susan was clear, and we found the house right away. As soon as we arrived, a generous box of cookies was waiting for us – and oh my god, what a treat! We were 7 people including a 2 year-old, and it was such a joy to see the kids play in the playground, with so many toys available. We also enjoyed the outdoor terrace, the barbecue, and the pool. In short, everything is there to make you feel at home. We are proud to have been the very first guests from outside the USA! Thank you for everything, we will keep unforgettable memories of our stay!"
