This is easily the best hotel I ever went to. I did a roadtrip from Montreal to Atlanta and on my way back I wanted to hot the famous tail of the dragon, deal's gap US-129. When we left Atlanta I got lost and I called the lodge to tell them I would be late ( because they close gate after 10 PM ). The woman on the phone was very nice to me and told me there would be someone there until 11 for me. After driving in traffic for like 6 hours, the gps got me lost somewhere in the middle of forest...

The staff is very friendly, The rooms are high priced for for what you get. Our room had a strong campfire smoke smell from the in room fireplace that never went away the entire time we stayed. It is very dated but clean. You can hear everything going on in the rooms next to you and outside. Our room had issues with the hair dryer not working and the smoke detector going off all night on the last night of our stay due to dead battery I assume.
