"It was unnerving to use a kiosk to sign in. Fortunately, a maintenance person was there to let me into the bathroom after being on the road for 6 hours! There was difficultly processing my credit card. My room had a double bed instead of a queen or king, which made sleeping very uncomfortable for me and my husband. The shower leaked onto the floor. "The out door pool was over crowded with kids, with towels and stuff everywhere, indoor pool was dirty. The elevator, lol only 2 worked, then one worked. 90% of the channel on the TV didn't work, which they never mentioned, i drove for 11.50 hours to stay at this place for 2 days. Was not worth it. I will stay somewhere else when I visit Virginia beach. THIS WAS NOT A GOOD TIME!!!! YOU THINK THEY WOULD DISCOUNT SOMETHING OR DO SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU THE ARE SORRY!!! HELLL NOO. THE BARLEY SAID A WORD, ALSO HAD TO GO TO FRONT DESK, THEY WILL NOT ANSWER IF YOU CALL THE FRONT DESK SMH!!!"

"First off, this hotel was not nearly as bad as some of the terrible reviews make it out to be. It's okay -- just don't expect the Ritz-Carlton. The good: You can't beat the location. It's right on the boardwalk and just minutes from the pier, The hotel was mostly clean, no bugs, cold air-conditioning, comfortable beds, and hot water. These are the most important factors for me when staying at the beach. There is coffee available in the lobby. The okay: We always had a place to park. The parking lot for the Aqua Vista is about half a block west from the hotel. However, we were not there during the peak of peak season. The parking slots are really tight and I can imagine there being issues finding a space during the worst of the worst of the summer. The bad: Housekeeping is really spotty. There were a couple of days where it felt like a battle to get my trash emptied and towels changed. On one day they were not changed at all despite multiple requests. We eventually got towels delivered after being told that there were no towels and they were in the wash. Note to management: Buy more towels. Seriously! Towels shouldn't be in short supply, especially at an ocean front hotel. I will say that I think it is a luck of the draw when it comes to room quality. When we first arrived, we were given a room that didn't have the linens replaced on the beds. The room we were moved to was much nicer than the first (same category)."

"We are happy with our stay. Wiston at front desk was following up periodically to see if we need anything which was really amazing service and help. Property is clean, our room was just renovated and it has a nice view and good room services"

"We were on the 16th floor and the fire alarm went off at 2am for no reason!! People on the lower floors said there was something on the intercom stating everyone needed to evacuate the building, but there is no intercom system where we were! All of us in the 16th floor were looking at each other confused because we didn’t know what was going on and no one to answer the front desk phone, so down 16 flights of stairs we went to find that something was just wrong with the alarm and they had no idea why it was going off! If there were a real fire, this issue is very concerning because we had no idea what was going on and no intercom or staff going around to ensure people were up and safe! Other than this hiccup, the hotel was great! Staff were friendly and they cleaned the room daily!!"

"We had a great stay but our freezer was broke and noisy, the hotel room floor was swept but hadn’t been mopped in a long long time our feet were immediately black and disgusting so we bought cheap slipper socks, and the kids pool was in need of some repairs and updating and warmer water! The other pool was adults only so I don’t know about that one but if you are going to limit where I can go with my kids atleast make the water WARM."
