"Perfect stop over after long drive from Calais, love the retro feel it has. Room was big enough for two people and a spaniel. Quiet location too. Staff provided us with a locally brewed bottled beer which was very good. My only disappointment was a small one and that was small paper cups instead of proper cups and uht milk in the room- Although the breakfast facilities did look very good, we didn’t have time to try them. "It was more of a motel than hotel. The room was clean although the loo nearly came off the wall every time I sat on it and I’m not fat. During the shower I got scolded by sudden hot water all the time. The front door opened onto the street which I didn’t like and the door was rickety. The staff however were lovely and my daughter and I had a nice dinner at a great price. Breakfast was nice, they have a kettle and fresh milk so I could make a nice cup of tea and they let me fill my flask with hot water."

"The building, hallways and rooms feel like dorm or hostel setup, very institutional feeling. The rooms are clean however and ours had a nice balcony. They had a nice breakfast that was included and added to the value. Getting to reception was a little tricky as you need to get through a gate and the intercom system is a little confusing. As is entry even after you have registered.The location is OK. Street parking is slim but free from 7pm til 9am and pretty reasonable if you need to during daytime hours. Overall it worked for us, we were only there for one night."
