"The only reason I am not giving this a five star is that it is not a five star resort. It is a bed-and-breakfast/hotel that is fantastic. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The breakfast was sensational. The rooms were terrific. Location was great."

"Palace Sao Silvestre is an easy 10min drive from the heart of Coimbra and it was an oasis to return to. This hotel is a very relaxing place to stay. Beautiful pool to cool down in or relax sitting by, picnic next to a vineyard, breakfast in the dining room or out on the patio and bar/dining on site; food & service were great. Loved that it is surrounded by lovely grounds available for use to guests. "

"We had a lovely 2 nights stay in this hotel. We attended the evening rosary and candlelight’s processions and it’s just walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast is ok which is included in our stay. Food in the restaurant is quite pricey.I’m glad my request was granted our room balcony is overlooking the Sanctuary.
