Peaceful Cabin Nestled On A Ridge In The Blue Ridge Mountains At Cattail Creek

"Very much enjoyed our stay in Burnsville. The mountain cabin was just as described and was a great get-away from hustle and bustle of daily lives. The place was spacious with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, and was clean and neat with things pretty well organized. The kitchen was well equipped and made for easy meal prep and cleanup. Even though suggested to bring many of our own supplies, there were ample supplies there if needed or if you forgot something. The back porch and fire pit was a great place to sit, enjoy the scenery and relax at the end of the day. Our host was excellent from the start with clear directions for check in and quick to respond as questions arose during our stay. All in all the Burnsville mountain cabin was terrific and would definitely come back if needing future retreat in that area!"

"This property was exactly what you see in the pictures and more. The sound of the water running down the stream in the backyard was fantastic and very inviting on the screened in side porch. The home was very clean, more than what we expected for a home open to pets. If you are on the fence whether or not to book this property, don’t wait till it’s gone. This is a rare little beauty in the woods, will not disappoint."

"Everything was perfect! You absolutely need 4 wheel drive to get up the hill. Im not sure if I overlooked that part or just didn't see but I believe we were at the top of the mountain. The trees to the left blocked the view but overall I absolutely loved the house. It was equipped with everything that you would need. I would definitely stay again. We got there early because I wasn't sure exactly where I was driving but the lady that was cleaning was amazing and extremely nice. She also said if we needed anything to give her a call."

"The Perfect Family Mountain GetawayWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin! It was comfortable, inviting, and the perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy the beauty of the North Carolina mountains. The peaceful setting made it feel like a true getaway, while still providing a convenient home base for exploring Burnsville, Little Switzerland, Linville Falls, the South Toe River, and everything else the area has to offer.Our boys loved the adventure of being in the mountains, and we appreciated having such a comfortable place to return to at the end of each day. Whether we were heading out to explore or simply relaxing at the cabin and enjoying the surroundings, it was exactly the kind of family vacation we had hoped for.We made some terrific memories here and would gladly stay again. An easy five-star recommendation for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable mountain escape!"

"The best thing about this place was the cleanliness. The cabin has incredible charm.A few of things that would keep us from renting in the future..1.) The driveway is incredibly steep with gravel. On the day of arrival, my vehicle spun out. So, I had to back up and try again. I learned if I would swing really wide and keep speed without slowing down, I could get up the driveway.2.) Minimum outside lighting. It is pitch black at night on the parking pad.3.) Small outside trashcan. The house claims it sleeps eight (more on that next) yet the outside trashcan only holds 2-3 bags of garbage. Not only was it insufficient for our 9 day stay, but the trashcan has a flimsy lid that does not close securely. We had to pick up trash daily from the wildlife getting into the trash.4.) The listing says it sleeps eight, but there are only enough beds for 6.5.) Lastly, the hardest beds I’ve ever slept on."
