"My wife and I stayed at The Lodge at Bodega Bay for one night to celebrate our anniversary, and our experience was absolutely phenomenal. The property is beautiful, the views of Bodega Bay are incredible, and the whole atmosphere made our anniversary feel very special. But what impressed us the most was the staff. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly, helpful, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel like valued guests. We also had a wonderful experience at Drakes Sonoma Coast. We arrived only about 15 minutes before closing, and I honestly expected that we might feel rushed because it was so late. Instead, it was completely the opposite. The staff welcomed my wife and me warmly and treated us like exceptional customers. They never made us feel like we were inconveniencing them or that they were waiting for us to leave. They were kind, attentive, and professional until the very end. The food was also excellent! Those little things say a lot about a hotel and its people. You can have a beautiful property and amazing views, but it is the way people treat you that makes an experience memorable. The staff at The Lodge at Bodega Bay and Drakes truly made our anniversary feel special. Thank you to everyone who made our short stay such a beautiful experience. We left wishing we could have stayed longer, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended — especially for couples looking for a beautiful and memorable place to celebrate something special. ❤️"

"Overall, very spacious house with many rooms. We enjoyed the wildlife and views of the ocean, as well as sitting by the fireplace. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there was a very strong and unpleasant odor in the refrigerator and kitchen. The odor in the refrigerator persisted through our visit and caused some of our food to taste bad. Linens were not very clean, many stains on the towels and bedspreads. We also had to deal with an ant invasion in both the lower floor bathroom and master bathroom. Thankfully, host was able to provide traps and spray at our request. Jacuzzi tub did not work in the master bathroom, none of the buttons ever turned on. Spa on the patio was excellent, however."

"Very cute place, a bit retro 80's decor but the photos are true that are on the website, so no surprises there. Great location, great communication and the house was very well supplied with cooking tools, spices, and linens. I gave it 4 stars on a few questions only because the cabinet doors didn't all close properly, the bathroom sinks are brown, so they show every spot. The bathroom counters are low, typical of the late 70's/80's construction. The master bedroom bed was a bit soft for my liking, not a complaint, just a personal preference. I would book the place again as it was perfect for our needs. It appears the back patio has been enclosed to create the family room, very nicely done. And it is a fantastic, sunny room to have your morning coffee. We were visited by a lovely herd of deer that had no fear of us. We were able to bring our dog, and it was also very comfortable for him as well. The neighbors are close and the houses were occupied, however, we never heard a peep out of them. Quiet area and again, great location. We enjoyed our stay."

"This place was absolutely perfect for the four of us (Parents and two adult children). Super easy check in. Really nice spot. Very clean. Well appointed-with absolutely everything you could possibly need. Check out list was helpful (and was pretty quick to go through). Would highly recommend!!"

"We had a great stay and the property was as described. It was nice having a bathroom for each bedroom. Enjoyed the homey feeling - lots of books, little personal knick-knacks. Also loved watching the deer on the golf course, jackrabbits and a quail family with 7 little ones. The only disappointment was a dirty hot tub, which we did not discover soon enough for the owner to be able to do anything about it for us. She was concerned and I‘m confident it was remedied for the next visitors. We recommend the Heron Breeze for its location and spacious accommodations. Thank you!For any of you with gluten concerns, the Fishetarian has many gluten-free options!"
