"We got there late at night and trying to identify where you’re going in the dark is a little bit complicated :-) however, once the sun came up it was a beautiful vista. The lodges are comfortable - I crashed on the couch so the kids could have the beds and I didn’t even pull it out because it was just perfect. Gorgeous area. "

"Breakfast was the "exact same" every single day, which was a bit disappointing for the room price. Scrambled Eggs (which were watery and from a bag I assume) and pork sausage links. It would have been great to have the fruit or hot food items rotated, at least one of the 5 days we stayed. There are numerous hot food bar items that could be offered to give guests a variety when staying more than 1-2 days. The staff was overall very friendly and professional. The facilities were overall clean and well maintained, although my personal standard of "clean" is very different than the average guest as I notice details that a majority of travelers would never think twice about. With that said - Our room was virtually clean, but there was a persistent damp/musty odor throughout the room, likely hidden mold issues. The bathroom did not have a vent - which creates the perfect conditions for mold to grow. This was confirmed upon arrival as there were black mold spots across the entire ceiling in our shower. I carry cleaning supplies with me, so we sprayed the ceiling with mold cleaner and wiped the area with a microfiber rag. We then noticed the caulk around the shower door had black mold growing beneath/around it - which was beyond our ability to clean, obviously. The headboard also had fingerprints and liquid marks across it that we had to clean ourselves. Hotel staff should be given more time for each room and required to do a more thorough cleaning."

"The room was very spacious and super clean! Staff were super friendly and helpful. I appreciated the toiletries available in the room and the fact that additional toiletries are available for free. The only things missing for me to have a perfect stay were: better WiFi (it was slow for me) and caffeinated coffee in the room (so I wouldn’t have to get dressed to go to the lobby before I had my coffee! :)"

"Parking was secure and easy, room was nice but very hot when we got there - it took a long time to cool it down but eventually by bedtime, it did cool down. House is very nice and clean and host Patricia is very friendly and welcoming."

"Good location within walking distance of a movie theater and family diner, a short drive from a bunch of restaurants and shops, and less than 15 minutes to the battlefield museum. Excellent breakfast at the Oak Room is well worth the cost. Indoor pool was crowded at the time and not the cleanest ever, and the shower was sadly pretty low-pressure. "

"Ok renovations made the feel and environment look inviting staff was pleasant breakfast was great (hot food) Let’s talk about the bed eh!!! Our room mattress was substandard (not awful) but much to be desired. Walls of our room were paper thin we heard every peep from room on either side and the family above felt like they were coming thru the ceiling (not the family’s fault they weren’t doing jumping jacks or running around) Toilet ran all night handle kept getting stuck Location was perfect We couldn’t turn heat on only air conditioner (early April we should have option for both) "
