Very private location with lots of nice modern touches in the cabin itself. It was rainy for our stay so we couldn’t use the yard much altho the steepness may have limited it’s use either way. It has everything we were looking to have for a quick summer getaway. It was close to Cacapon State Park and then we could unwind with the many amenities at the cabin. It was an easy drive, without crazy steep winding mountain roads. The house was clean, modern, very tech,. From the moment we parked the car and stepped onto the porch, we were hooked! Opening the door to find such a beautiful space sealed the deal!. All linens were provided, as well as plenty of spare cleaning products for dishes and laundry. The interior of the cabin was beautiful and well laid out. Unfortunately we had mainly rain while in town, so the technology played a large part for us. The town of Berkely Springs is 20 minutes away and is fantastic! The teens were more than happy to have their own space and would have been happy to stay in the cabin for the entire trip! We enjoyed swimming at nearby Cacapon and visiting Berkeley Springs. We had a small communication glitch in the beginning but the owner rectified it right away. The kids loved all the games available and never complained about being bored. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. My wife and I traveled around 5 hours to come Mountain Bike Great Cacapon State Park. The cabin has absolutely anything you can think of. Where do we start. From the time of booking to arriving everything was fantastic. The cabin was even better than in person. From the warm cozy setting to our daily visit of deer. They love apples. I was very impressed with the mini arcade. That is great touch. The kitchen is very nicely stocked. I highly recommend this property and host. Out of all the locations we have visited, Retrievers Retreat has by far the best and most coordinated communication. Their pre-trip guide was beneficial, in my opinion; it helped us organize our activities in advance and provided options to cater to a wide range of interests. Just a short drive from the cabin is Cacapon State Park, which we thoroughly enjoyed visiting. Retrievers Retreat offers modern technology while nestled in a peaceful neighborhood. Upon arrival, we were surprised at how clean the cabin was and were grateful for all the extras that were provided, such as hand lotion, hair conditioner, shampoo, etc. A comfy king-sized bed and many nice additions like a game room, wine refrigerator, and upgraded items in the kitchen and bathroom made for an enjoyable stay.
