My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed here for 3 nights and the moment we arrived, we were greeted with small cold towels to help cool us off as it was very hot out. This hotel is very up to date with washroom facilities, architecture and amenities. The staff was absolutley fantastic. The best small hotel we have ever stayed at. The area is in the middle of shopping and entertainment with the atmosphere of old Cartagena and street entertainers. I highly recomend this Hotel and area.

This hotel is a perfect little get away, it’s a hidden oasis in the middle of the old walled city. The front is very unassuming. Excellent stay and great staff. I asked for a quiet room and my room was quiet. I had the best sleep of my my one month stay in Colombia. Very convenient location as well. I will return for sure. Some areas for improvement: a little hectic during breakfast sometimes so I think they need to add more staff during busy season. It was a beautiful boutique hotel with meticulously decorated rooms, restaurant, rooftop patio and pool, and checkin area. The view from the patio and pool arguably offers the best view of old and new Cartagena in the city. For a multilingual Black queer couple staying at the hotel for a few days, it was a breathtaking experience.

Hotel Capellan was a great experience. The modern room was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff on site were courteous and friendly. My requests were answered with promptness. We enjoyed the location as it was a bit off the tourist track but readily walkable. Needless to say, we will return to Capellan the next time we are in Cartagena. Great location in the centre of Getsemani and close to the old town. The rooms are clean and modern with great bathrooms and storage. The pool is the perfect place for a siesta on a hot day and the staff are excellent.
