reserved for two nights but my kid was born a day early and i had to leave after one night. they told me they couldnt refund to call expedia. Called expedia and they said that the property manager is the one who makes that decision and they said no they couldnt do anything about the 1 night. front desk also is not very helpful

You can tell at some point someone put money into this place to renovate it but it doesn’t mean much if it’s not maintained. I’m not a big complainer but I feel like cleanliness should be the bare minimum. I had some kind of food sauce (Chinese maybe) all over my desk on arrival. When checking for bed bugs I could see what I’m hoping was food stains all over the mattress cover and there were very small dead bugs in the shower, some kind of Beatles or other small nuisance bugs, none appeared to be roaches thankfully. The top blanket is very old and scratchy which is my least concerning gripe. The floors had a few spots where you could tell something got stomped in like old candy or gum and hasn’t been scraped up (think gum that’s been on a sidewalk forever). It’s not the worst place I’ve ever stayed and if im in a pinch again I might stay here but I feel like the quality could swing wildly from room to room so maybe not. There were a few other minor issues that fall in the same categories already mentioned.

A part of the community

I stayed on Fourth of July and they had a nice community fireworks show and everyone was gathered around. The room was clean and quiet ( other than the Holiday celebration.)

Guys who ever needs a great, friendly, peaceful, cozy, and affordable place to stay I’m artesia, Budgett inn is the place to stay. Their rooms are spacious, super clean like mom and grandmas house, and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. The owner Andy is a great hostess and his family are so great to make you feel at home. The place is always nice and quiet and no drama. I can honestly say thee beat hotel for a great rate in artesia. I always stay at the Budgett inn or if they are super booked I go to their family’s second hotel La Hacienda trust book it you won’t regret it. Thank you Andy and your family for always making me feel welcome and comfortable.
