Hyatt Place Albany/Downtown

"Loved the hotel! Only 3 years old. Modern, attractive decor. Friendly, helpful staff. King suite was spacious and well-appointed. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was OK, but not great. Some pancakes were hard as a rock, and some fried eggs (precooked) were quite overcooked (brown). Some drinks and snacks were sold at the lobby bar, but they were VERY expensive. Coffee was $7 and a single small choc. chip cookie was $5. There is a nice bar/restaurant next door, but not a great area for walking to stores or restaurants."

"Nicely maintained historic hotel, conveniently located to shops, restaurants and a beautiful park. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice, if a bit quirky which is part of the charm of an older hotel."

"The hotel was great. Large, nicely decorated rooms. Only issue we had was a pair of men’s dirty underwear left in a corner of our room. That was gross, We did tell the front desk about it and they were apologetic. Otherwise everything was great!"

"The property and staff were great! The only thing that is disappointing is there used to be complimentary coffee/tea in the lobby for guests. There is now a machine that costs $3 per cup. The room cost is on the higher end, and I think they should return to the complimentary coffee/tea. It was a disappointing change from my previous stays."
