My wife and I stayed with our 14 year old granddaughter who slept on the fold out couch bed. Owner put up with several calls that were related to the gate codes and door locking. Those could be communicated to renters more clearly. The location is very scenic and peaceful. We sat on the patio to watch the Aoudads graze. It is a very comfortable place for 2 adults and two young kids. Then she had to fly back home & I was at the cabin solo. I was nervous about that but wound up thoroughly enjoying myself at the cabin & in the canyon. I felt completely secure there and enjoyed getting out to walk around the resort, watch the birds & wildlife & then woke 1 morning to a snowy blizzard. How exciting since I'm from Houston!! The sun rises were the 1st thing I got to feast my eyes upon every morning. It was disappointing to have to leave but I will return some day. But next time I will fly. WHEW!! What a drive! The sofa bed was really nice for the kids. The mattress was thick with no springs. The kitchen had everything we needed for late breakfasts. The Sad Monkey just next day was great for grocery items and relaxing with a cold drink. We kept missing the food truck though. We enjoyed our stay at Santa Fe canyon rim cabin so much!! The sunrise over the canyon was beautiful! Loved the large window in living area/bedroom. King size bed was so comfy & sleeper couch was perfect for our son. Kitchen was fully stocked. We cooked breakfast every morning & appreciated the K-cups & Keurig machine with creamer & sugar. Also very close to the Palo Duro State Park entrance. Enjoyed hiking trails & exploring the canyon. Awesome place! Will be returning next year!! Thanks for being such fantastic hosts! ##### Tara H.
