"After reading VBRP property descriptions for all the rentals in the area, we thought this would be best for our family stay and we were right! Property is as pictured, and we enjoyed our morning coffee outside observing loons and other wildlife. The children thought the loft was the coolest sleeping room ever. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. When driving to the property, use the directions provided by the hosts. There is another way in, but that road is really, really bumpy and in not as good a condition. However, the children thought the bumpy road was fun and exciting."

"We rented this space for our small wedding ceremony and then a larger reception afterwards. The outdoor space provided great options for the ceremony location and for the reception, inside and outside spaces were perfect! We hosted approx. 20 people for the ceremony and had about 120 for the reception and there was enough room. We hosted guests as young as 2 weeks and as old as 92. We didn't have guests in wheelchairs but we did have guests using walkers. That made for some challenges in the upstairs area but downstairs and outside were fine. There was ample parking for all guests in the gravel parking lot and the paved area. The venue was very clean, the staff were so helpful and attentive to our needs, and staying there felt like home. Our wedding and reception were a dream and my family will definitely be back someday! I highly recommend staying here and working with Janna and her team!"

"Old farmhouse, so if ladybugs aren’t your thing and you expect a modern interior- skip it. But if you know Rumford, love history and look for the cute quirks in a house- this is your place. It has so much character and the most spacious place I’ve ever stayed. "
