« I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville. »

Breakfast offered a nice collection of choices including a made to order omelet. We liked the location near Main Street, but not too close. Fun rooms, the most comfortable bed and quality linens, feather pillows etc. A few quirks that are very understandable in a historic building in the middle of town (sometimes loud at night) but they have thought about little things like ear plugs and noise machine. Great for a couple on a mid week getaway »

« What a delightful little place! Worked out just perfectly for our stay in Grass Valley and we will definitely come again. Outfitted very nicely, loved the location in a quiet neighborhood, owner very responsive and friendly. Softer beds and one more closet and I'd have thought about moving in. »
