"Timberline Lodge in Arnold is a nice hotel conveniently located along CA-4. It was very close to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. There are a good number of restaurants catering to different cuisines. Our favorites were Bistro Espresso and Sarafina’s Italian Restaurant. The lodge itself looks newly renovated and well maintained. The amenities met our needs. The only problem we had was with the air conditioning. It was a hot weekend in August with temperature in the 90’s and the a/c wasn’t cooling enough. The chilly night time air took care of cooling the room with the windows open. All in all, it was a good experience for us. Highly recommended."

"Perfect spot for a family with teenagers. They each got their own room! Very relaxing. The A/C units in the living room and bedrooms are a welcome relief from the late summer heat. Not too far from Pinecrest Lake for water activities and movies under the stars. Twain Harte with a couple of restaurants just down the road for when you don’t want to cook.Host is very responsive. We would definitely stay here again."

"Calm and peaceful. Home very well taken care of . Well kept, rooms and living space very cozy. Out door decks and open space very relaxing. Kitchen was great . All appliances and essential available. Plenty of Local shops, places to eat , hiking, lakes, and activities all jus up the way. Arnold and Murphys just up or down the way. Great , and easy communication with the Host , very welcoming. Had an Amazing one year wedding anniversary weekend. Hope to visit Again in the future. Thanks again to our host."

"Charming little place! Must check out the backyard with the fire pit and the lovely hangout that’s there in the bbq area! Very close to restaurants and grocery stores!"

"The location in the heart of town was nice and the room was spacious. However, we did not enjoy the overly firm mattress and the drained hot tub."

"Good location, great pool, TV was terrible. I don’t mean TV itself but no ability to stream what year is? Overall good spot but don’t plan on chillin in the room after a day of wine drinking."
