The owners were on holiday the person in charge did not seem to know what was going on. We paid for breakfast, on the first morning we were told to just help ourselves. There was cereal, fruit and toast, which was ok, but a little odd. The next two days the kitchen and breakfast room were locked. The room was very small, thankfully the bathroom was big enough to put our bag in as there was no where to store it in the bedroom. Location was good

Very comfortable.
Very comfortable, easy stay. Nice breakfast. No complaints. Loved the location, being outside the city and able to go for some early morning fresh air. Nice and quiet too.

Lovely B&B just outside Cambridge
Lovely location in the countryside near Cambridge. Also very close to the Newmarket race course. Peaceful location. Easy and free parking. Clean and comfortable B&B with friendly owners and staff. We enjoyed our one night stay and also the hearty and delicious breakfast

Warm and welcoming
I was going to be later than expected so I rang and was told where my key would be and what I needed to do. I was then rung back to make sure I knew how to find them as they are further out of the village than most expect. The room was warm and welcoming with plenty of hot drinks to make. Nice clean bathroom and lots of hot water. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The owner, Bob was friendly and we had a good old chinwag. With regard to the room, the bed was comfortable and clean but pillows were too hard for me. There were a few cobwebs in the top corners but I’m a country girl and this place is out in the sticks so I wasn’t bothered personally. I’ll definitely stay here again (but I’ll bring my own pillow.)

Don't use the geocode for directions as appartently that is for the road which is very long so this location is not easy to find in the dark. the owner was not very helpful when we could not access the wifi - his attitude was the wifi is not working - but we knew it was for other people. turned out we had an out of date Code despite checking with him twice. Another guest kindly intervened at breakfast with the correct details.

Quiet and friendly, out in the Fens. Great value.
The Brambles is a very quiet and friendly country bed and breakfast with everything that you need for a good night's sleep. There was even a small electric fan in the wardrobe which has been necessary over night in this recent heat! Host was friendly and chatty over breakfast - which was a well cooked English breakfast if you want it. Good choice of cereals and toast otherwise. The bed is in need of being replaced, but the shower was excellent. Good comms through Expedia who I booked it with.

It was a very enjoyable stay, breakfast was good and plenty of it. the beds were comfortable,(best night sleep that I have had in a long time).We did find it difficult to find the Brambles (that I think that was due to my Sat Nav, but a quick phone call to the hotel and we soon found it. the only criticism was a couple of cobwebs in the room.

A very pleasant experience. The owner was particularly helpful when I had a problem. The breakfast was excellent. I had two different rooms and the downstairs room was a little dark but upstairs was perfect.

B&B in a country lane. Quiet area
I have to think that this establishment has been taken over since I booked some 10 months ago otherwise the reviews were misleading. We arrived and were met with a curt greeting and the keys thrushed at us. Breakfast next day was a rushed affair. We were still eating our cereal when the main breakfast arrived. Being a small table we had to hold the cereal bowl in the air whilst our hot breakfast was going cold. We learned that the lady had a school function to attend. Had we been asked the night before we could of breakfasted earlier. There was no communication between management and visitors. Felt we were intruders in a private home.

I was there for the football so only used B&B for sleep and breakfast, but everything was fine. pleasant people running the place.

Good base for visiting Cambridge, though you'll need a car. Used Park & Ride & needed a car to find a pub meal at night. Accommodation was satisfactory, particularly a most generous bathroom. Breakfast was no frills, but adequate. Lots of parking & a pretty, quiet location.

Really enjoyed my stay here, clean and comfy room and Bob, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating to my requirements. Really appreciated his tip regarding my route home as it saved me at least six hours being stuck in a traffic jam in Cambridge. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked this hotel by mistake, was to far from the center and not close to any bust station, but the owner was really nice. He picked as from the station and drop off to dinner. The breakfast is great, the owner cooked it in the morning and was really amazing! So if you have a car I definetly suggest you to stop by the Brambles to have a taste of the British life and breackfast!!!
