"Great little getaway! If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing weekend this is definitely it. Pictures don’t do this place justice, and everything is extremely well taken care of and maintained. Make sure to bring your fishing pole and swimming gear, the clean pond is ideal for both. Traveled here with my wife and our two boys, 10yo and 5mo, and it was just right for us. We’ll be back, thanks for an amazing stay!"

"Excellent place to stay to explore the eastern portion of the Shawnee National Forest. We used it as a launching point to see the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, and Dixon Springs State Park. Wish we had another day to do more exploring. The cabin is secluded, so stock up on groceries and charcoal for the grill before you arrive. "The room was a bit dated and the furniture could use some cleaning and repairs. There’s no microwave or refrigerator. The bathroom and room were clean and the staff were friendly. The thermostat doesn’t go lower than 68 and you can’t increase the fan speed so it struggled to keep up with the high humidity. The pool was closed and there was no notice of that until I got there. Had I known that I would have stopped at the beach but I was just too tired to go back out after being outside in the humidity all day."
