Holiday Inn was a pleasure, well manicured lawns, clean, staff are very friendly and helpful. Stayed 9 nights and had no issues at all. Only area that needs a bit of attention is when making coffee's, the barrister needs to be more faster as they take very long (30-40 mins). Car park is well maintained, no potholes etc. Pool area and back lawns are also very well maintained. There is a Pick and Pay within walking distance. Hotel is a 5 min drive to Bulawayo city centre. Very safe and secure as well. As soon as the power cuts came, the generators kicked in straight away. So did not even notice the power cuts. Recommend this hotel any time. Thanks.

Room was good sized and clean. We had issues with hairdryer and safe not working but both were fixed quickly. Staff were very accommodating and helpful.

TRIBAL ALLOCATION OF STAFF
The problem with this hotel is that they place people who speak Shona language only at reception in a town that majority Ndebele language. When you speak to them in Ndebele they pretend not to hear. When Shona guests speak to them in Shona they reply in Shona with great awe. Thats not good. Its organised or institutionalised tribalism. Local Ndabezitha Communities also need jobs.

I can't say enough good words about this hotel ,it's super clean,the facilities are amazing nice pool ,gym.The staff is very attentive to each and every guest they greet everyone.I was blown away because you don't get that kind of service in the US unless you're in the Waldorf Astoria .The dining was exquisite everything was always catered bkfast,lunch and dinner nothing cold the parking is safe and secure .The hotel grounds are immaculately manicured .The rooms are super clean ,WiFI was always working .One thing that was not working properly was the TV reception it was kind of poor and the TV remotes needed to be replaced I couldn't figure out what button was for what as they had faded I didn't do anything about it though of which I'm sure they could have fixed promptly .Other than that I had an awesome stay.

A decent hotel with poor practices
Everything is unclear. For example, I wanted to eat dinner at the hotel- no prices are listed anywhere and the waitress told me a price that then did not match the bill. When I checked in I requested an airport transfer for 12:30pm. I watched the guy write it down. At 5:40am they saw fit to call my room, wake me up and ask about my taxi needs. Unfortunately, I cannot go back to sleep. Lastly I asked about late check out, it was super unclear as to if I will be granted it and what it will cost. (Regular check out is 10am)

I didn’t like the lettuce salad, the cauliflower l was served when l ordered dinner for room service. The following day we ordered beef stew it was not done and also the grade and quality of meat couldn’t cut it or chew it. No bed sheets however l brought the quiries to the hotel stuff and they noted and rectified. The standards of such a big brand hotel should be maintained to keep the brand name.

They gave me their worst room at the Holliday Inn Bulawayo even though I paid the maximum amount per night. It was room. 153 located above the cooling machines and motors of the washing machines that run almost all night. I could not sleep. Never agree to take room 153 or 253 or 353 or 453 etc. even if you are offered it for free! They did not want to give me minimal compensation for the mental anguish just a few fruits ...

The pillows are the most uncomfortable pillows we have a used. The Aircon made so much noise we could not sleep we ended up switching it of and opened the balcony door to get some air. The food is good

The staff could not see the payment for the Room which was made online and therefore they said the booking was not paid and yet it was paid. It took an extra call from Expedia to convince the staff that the booking was paid and somehow on the same call staff failed to confirm that the breakfast for two was already paid, only for the 2 guests to be shocked with the news that they are getting no breakfast. The breakfast for two was not served and yet it was paid at Expedia. Terrible customer care.

I liked that the hotel staff made every effort to ensure that my family was comfortable. I had initially meant to stay there for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4 nights.
