I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was a full sized hotel, as opposed to the guesthouse type of accommodations I had last year when I visited Chester. The walk from the train station was fairly short, although if you're carrying a heavy suitcase, you'd probably be better off getting a ride. There is a supermarket next door that had many options for snacks and beverages, but the restaurant situation was a bit challenging, as most of them were about 1km walk west of the hotel. The...

We had a wonderful stay at The Boathouse! The location on the river and just a short walk from the city walls was absolutely perfect. No AC in the midst of a heatwave, but the open windows cooled the room down quite a bit. We loved the boathouse decor and our room felt so comfy and cozy. Staff were great and helpful. Breakfast was great and included our choice of a hot meal. It was also great to be able to keep our car there for a few hours after check out to spend some more time exploring the...

Had a lovely stay here with my wife and newborn daughter. Friendly staff, great food, and a lovely room. Even had a nice view of sheep fields which was a cute little Welsh surprise. Best bonus is you get access to the hot tub, steam room, sauna, and other spa amenities with your stay. Great value!

The owners were welcoming and responsive. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was made to order and was perfectly made for us. There was a table with cereals and fresh fruit. Nearby were restaurants and a full service launderette. We left our car at Stone Villa and walked into Chester town center. It was all easy for us and exactly what we envisioned. We'd stay there again.
