Absolutely fantastic location for our stay in Brisbane. We loved how walkable it was and how central it was to so much in and around Brisbane. The size of the apartment was generous and made it easy to relax and enjoy our stay.
Very quiet location and private apartments. Not ideal if you have a lot of luggage, as there are many flights of stairs throughout the property.

Well located.
The property was very well located.
Easy to get buses or walk down town.
There were a lot of restaurants within 10 minutes walk.A Woolworths 2 minutes away walking.
The apartment needs something done about the shower temperature.
It is very very difficult to regulate .
The only other thing which is easily fixed is supply plugs for the kitchen & bathroom .
Everything else matched the advert & star rating.We also used the pool which was adequate for a cool off.
There is no lift and need to walk many stairs. There is one air-conditioning in the living room , but no air-conditioning in the bedroom and the fan in the both room are out of other. The curtains are broken. There is a hold in the mosquito net , but the house owner repaired it. On the top floor, I often smell the oily smoke seeping into the apartment. The apartment is on sale. So, the staff bring strangers to visit our apartment two times.
The bathrooms were descusting and mouldy and the receptionist was extremely rude

Slightly older apartments which are starting to show their age and could do with some refurbishment. Lots of minor issues, eg washing machine not plumbed in, batteries missing from remote controls, air conditioning unit without batteries which suggest pre arrival checking is not done thoroughly. When highlighted staff resolved quickly though. Good location - walkable to centre
In a nice quiet location. Pool was cold on a hot day. The bed was very comfortable. Quite roomy with being a bedroom place as opposed to a studio so from that point of view very good value. Close to CBD, Fortitude Valley the new Howard Smith Wharfs. Highly Recommended.

This business has a no refund policy and as my husband became very sick when we first started our journey to Brisbane we were not able to keep our reservation (they knew this two days before the check in date) we returned home and my husband was in hospital for a week $429 not refunded even though this was totally unavoidable
Booked 2 bedroom unit, the unit was really spacious and comfortable. Full kitchen and laundry. Easy car parking and central location. Room was clean. Hard with the reception being closed and only 1 key.
Great area! These apartments are half way inbetween the city and fortitude valley so if you feel like shopping, nightlife, going to a bar, the library etc you are close enough. Your only 5 minute walk from either train station as well as buses but far enough up the hill to be away from the traffic and noise. Super comfy bed, spacious kitchen and it was nice how they provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels and hangers for clothes. Good job! Only complaint would be the service - the welcoming email isn't very welcoming as it just mentions that price of things ($100 surcharge to stay past 10am a bit steep!) and noone instructed me what to do if i needed to check out before 9am so i just ended up leaving the keys in the room.
Difficulty checking in on Saturday as office not manned in afternoon and apartment was deadbolted so we had to get assistance to open. Management and staff were friendly.. No lift access with several flights of steps to unit (not suitable for older people). Bedding and towels were clean but everything else was filthy. Oven, cooktop, rubbish bins, tiled floors, laundry area, dryer, shower/bath. Would never recommend it to anyone.
Very dirty apartment, furnishings were very outdated. Study desk as a TV cabinet, very old worn out rug. Apartment was very empty, kitchen not stocked properly. Filthy kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Walls were filthy. The linen was clean, as were towels. Unfortunately the rest of the unit was extremely dirty. I had to get in touch with them to get check in details? Very disorganised and unproffesional. Apartments need a good clean, updated furniture and management needs to communicate properly. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. This property expects a $200 bond when their units are in disgusting condition.

Spacious and Well Situated
I got off to a bad start because the gate code I was given for out-of-hours entry did not unlock the gate. And when I phoned the after hours number for assistance, nobody answered. Fortunately some guest leaving the premises let me in after I'd had an anxious 15 minutes wait.
Once I finally got into my apartment I found it adequate but slightly run-down. The towel rack in the bathroom fell to the floor as soon as I put a towel on it, the door handle to the bedroom fell off and there was no iron. Additionally none of the lids fitted the saucepans, the frying pan had burned food on it and hadn't been washed, and I had to buy my own egg flip/lifter.
Apart from these minor irritants, I found the apartment spacious, comfortable and pretty good value for what I paid.

Great location, quiet, great for. Quick visit. could have paid some attention to cleanliness , bathroom had only been quickly mopped , build up around the toilet system dust and rubbish, was noticeable and kitchen utensils not great. 1:teaspoon, dishes taken and stacked from dishwasher still had dried food on them. Price very affordable but for an extra 15 mins cleaning would have rated much higher. The used condom in the bedroom totally not acceptable
The apartment is adequate and what we found is that the floors had not been cleaned and were very dirty and the cutlery in the kitchen was not all there, we had no forks for when we ate meals. The washing machine was annoying as well and did not function well.
We arrived at 3.15pm and our room was still being cleaned, we used the bathroom and it was disgusting. I asked if it would be cleaned and was told it would but as we left i saw the bucket of BLACK water and mop. When we returned the room had been cleaned but the bathroom floor was sticky and stank of urine, I had to wash it there was no way i was letting my 6yr old walk on that floor. We also got no sleep because the people upstairs were running around up and down from 12am to past 2am. Also our key didnt fit the front door, we were so lucky that the owner was passing as we were trying to get in later in the afternoon because as there is no one on reception etc. We would have been stuck outside. On a positive note great location for bike riding over story bridge and around Southbank and really easy to get the bus to Suncourp Stadium.
We had difficulties checking in. The office was closed when we arrived, even though it was supposed to be open for at least another 30 minutes. Other tenants had to let us in the gate and get the keys from the lock box. The essential check-in information was sent while we were on an airplane, and we could not retrieve the message until we had Internet service. All of that should have occurred at least 24 hours earlier.
Didn't end up staying as the after hours number was not answered - 1 week later & still no phone call from the office..
If reception is going to be closed & noone is monitoring the after hours number don't advertise there are vacancies... I booked the apartment in which I paid for it also & have had no contact from anyone from the apartments... Good job guys - take someone's money & don't return their phone calls.. Will definitely NOT recommend to anyone to stay here

Hotel cancelled booking 2 hours before check in!
They texted us at 12:15pm on the day were suppose to check in to say their Water pipes burst and they cancel our booking. I am not sure if that was the true story but disappointed that we had to run around 2 hours within check in time to find an alternative accommodation for the night!

While the rooms were comfortable and clean, the kitchen oven and dishwasher were dirty on arrival and the main part of fridge was not cold enough. The complex was close to all amenities which was pleasing as we did not hire a car.

Booked at Spring Hill Gardens Apartments as it was close to the wedding that we were attending. Checked the reviews and they all appeared positive. When we arrived the bed was made up and clean towels were laid out. However, the floors appeared never to be cleaned as there was dust, rubbish and dirt under the bed, under chairs, tables and behind the couch. There were also muddy stains on the tiles. Blinds were broken, light fittings removed, stains on the lounges, scraps of food still in the microwave and oven. The bathroom was mouldy and only superficially cleaned. When we mentioned the state of the room we were told that our booking was non refundable. The management made the excuse that the Commonwealth games meant they were busy. This sounded ludicrous because it was obvious that the room had not been properly maintained for years. There were also tiles loose and broken and the bathroom did not have an exhaust and the door did not lock. Extremely disappointed. It appears that they are also renting rooms out long term to residents with dogs. The flat next door had a dog and dog droppings all over the patio which we could see from our room. There was also dog hair on the old door mats outside the door. It felt like we were in a third world country as there appeared to be no basic standards of cleanliness as you would expect from accommodation within Australia. I was worried of taking my shoes off as everything was so dirty. Disappointed and disgusted with the experience!
My partner and I were looking forward to having a few days in Brisbane , we both work long hours hence we were excited about being able to get away and relax.
Upon entering the apartment we were overwhelmed with a strong smell, mouldy stale type smell. The main bedroom was closed with a note on the door saying "maintenance". The carpets were dirty and the walls were dirty . We went straight down stairs to find the office closed.
We discovered the smell was likely to be coming from the large pool of water that was directly under the air conditioner, it looked like and smelt like this had been an ongoing problem.
The bed and pillows were old and very uncomfortable.
As soon as the office opened the next day we went down and asked to be moved to another room, they didn't straight away and I suspect they knew the room was unsuitable .
They then moved us to another room which was cleaner and didn't smell but overall the room was disappointing. The bed was probably the worst my partner and I have ever slept in and I suspect the blanket on the bed had never been washed.
My partner and I travel quite a bit for work and we have stayed in various hotels around Australia and the world. I am generally happy with the standard of rooms particularly if its clean. Certainly in this case the apartments are in need of repair and maintenance. ( and new beds)

When we arrived the method of obtaining the key was unsecure. The key was in safe which everyone arrive that weekend had the code to. This raised alarm bells. When entered out room it was evident that some had already been in there or the room had not been cleaned since the previous people. There was rubbish in the kitchen, dirty dishes on the sink, a prengancy test and used condoms in the bathroom among other things. I rang the contact number and was told that we had already checked in and this was our mess as we had left the key in the gate. After a heated discussion with them they came and changed our rooms.

Great location
I actually used to live in one of these apartments some 12 years ago and also did some of the maintenance of the complex. The outdoor areas are still looking good but the room was very tired and walls were grubby. Kitchen area and bathroom were clean but it felt like everything else needed a wipe down.
Only paid $105 so all in all the stay was satisfactory.

It wasn’t a restful two nights, as no tv, no wifi, fridge was out of order, dirty dishes, not hygiene, cockroaches everywhere in kitchen and dining room, had a bad experience. Bed was nice, bathroom nice that all
The lady at the front counter was not helpful or responsive to me at all. The room smelt like a combination of bad body odour, smelly feet and stale cigarettes. The carpets were old and dirty. The lounge chair was also dirty and ripped and there was urine on the toilet seat. There was mould in the kitchen and I am still waiting for an unauthorised payment of $200 that they took of my card nearly 3 weeks ago. To top it off they had the forensic police detectives investigating the floor above us. We obviously didn’t stay and they won’t refund us for the night either. So do yourselves a favour and stay well clear of this place. I wish someone would have warned us how bad it is there. To some it I would say it is dirty, dodgy and disgusting.

Cheap , quiet, close to center, and safe place as it has lots of secure entry procedures.
Good parking place
The apartment was great. Didn’t have to speak to reception just got the key and went in. Overall it’s a great place for the price but cleanliness could have been improved. Fans were dusty.

The apartment and stairwell had an unpleasant odour, however, when we opened up the doors and turned on fans/air conditioner, the smell was less obvious. The apartment had everything we required - the washing machine was particularly handy. Reception was closed when we checked in and out, however, this was not a problem. Procedures were put in place that were easy to understand. Overall, the apartment was a little tired looking, but provided everything we needed for our short stay.
Stayed at Spring Hill Garden apartments for 4 days across the long weekend.
Place was perfect for my need
Nice and low key and enjoyed having space to spread out
Self contained so I was able to do meals and such in the room
Place was quiet and out of the main streets of Spring Hill
Used the pool a couple of times and was refreshing

I often travel for work and stay at a lot of different places and this was by far the worst place. The room was dirty when I arrived - fridge had mess on the shelves, dirty coffee cups still in the dishwasher, toilet wasn't flushed, bread crumbs under the toaster.
Also the mould in the bathroom was unsightly - see attached picture.
As for the pool - it was green :(
I don't usually write bad reviews but there were too many things wrong with this place not to.
Couldn't get a hold of Staff. Left a few messages, emails and texts, but no replies.
Popped around to office 3 times just after 8:30am but it was closed.
TV didn't work.. .
Washing machine door wouldn't close.
4 Police Cars arrived one night. Looked like either domestic violence issue or issue with drugs. Saw two people sitting in footpath area within the complex. One looked like they were on some substance.
