This is a delightful property with cabins, motel rooms and camping next to a stream. Though there is very little extra room, each have fire pits, chairs, picnic tables and most have porches. And, it’s quiet except for an occasional car passing by.
I picked this property for the value, setting a pretty low bar for the accommodations. Boy was I surprised. This was the cutest coziest lil place I’ve ever stayed. The checkin was so easy and friendly. The room I had was part of a long cabin structure. Inside was teeny, but so cozy and warm. The bedding was snug and breakfast at the restaurant was big and yummy! (I had an omelette). The grounds are fun and settler-y. Campy, if you will. But the creek is right behind the rooms and is lovely and fresh. I wish I was staying longer! Definitely next time.
everything was almost great. I will definitly not stay here again for the only reason that the beds are like from 30 years ago. i could not sit down without the mattress making noise that it could be heard outside. This place can certainly afford better mattresses. my family and i did not rest all night. whenever someone moved we could hear them. it was not cool. the sliding door in our cabin, had a broken lock. but we managed. umm, yeah, the mattresses have to go.
Very clean with friendly proprietors. The restaurant was the only one open for miles. Excellent food and the service was spectacular. Highly recommend!
This place never disappoints! The cabins have all the basics you need to be comfortable, but the location is the real treasure!
The addition over the years of Direct TV and wifi is nice, but usually just here to enjoy the view
Always love the breakfast in the restaurant before leaving too. Prefect getaway spot.
This place is charming. The manager(s)/proprietor(s) are friendly and informative, and they've included some very nice features to the cabins (e.g., a pack of s'mores!).
This was a great mini vaca for my sister and I. We love Virginia Settlement. It is a great little place, we stay in the small tent cabins.
It gives us the capacity to use our barbarque and do our own thing. We really think the camp kitchen was a great addition to the settlement. The settlement is always clean and the management is wonderful. They always greet and check on us. The restaurant is good place to grab a nice meal. We also spent time at Bodie Ghost town this time. Fishing is available in every direction from the settlement.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They have a lovely set up on the river bank with wood benches and swings, firepits and lights. They have yard games available. They even have two friendly yard cats! Our room was very comfortable! Thank you for the smores kit!
Great place to stay. My sister and i fish and this is a convient place to stay. We love the area. They have remodeled and made a camp kitchen with a new fish cleaning area.
The restaurant is very good. We love the raviolis and the appetizers are the bomb.
Thank you.
Small comfortable room in log cabin style. Heater made an occasional clang. No microwave. Very pleasant and helpful owners. Gluten free food readily provided.
Check in (at the quaint) restaurant was easy and my room was comfortable with a rustic feel. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. I had dinner and breakfast at their restaurant both of which were delicious and had that homemade touch. If I’m ever in this area again, I will definitely stay there again. It was a pleasant change from the everyday hotel chain.
Rustic. It’s a unique place to stay and close and affordable to enjoy the many areas in the eastern sierras. I’d come back simply for the price and location. The cabins are clean and the grounds are kept nice.
