The price was great, and the service was even better—genuinely warm, kind, and welcoming. Even though the on-site restaurant was closed during the holiday, the owners went out of their way to offer us free food, which was such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture. Their pet-friendly policy is fantastic—our pet stayed completely free. We also loved the small touches: a welcome bag with s’mores supplies and fish food, which the kids adored using to feed the fish. The entire property is well maintained, peaceful, and full of charm. Our cabin was clean, warm, and cozy, perfect for a relaxing night. The handmade souvenirs in the gift area were also super cute and added to the charm of the place. Overall, Virginia Creek Settlement provided far more than we expected. The service was great both times we ate here. They have lovely decor in the restaurant and old style photos that were taken on site over the years. It has such charm to this place. If you have reservations, check in takes place inside the restaurant. They had alot of pasta options for dinner and most everyone got pasta in our group. We had mosticholi, chicken marsala, eggplant parm, lasagna, we also had a pizza, pulled pork sandwich and a salmon Ceasars salad. They bbq pulled pork was made with their house made whiskey bbq sauce that was delicious. Their marinara is also made in house. All of the food was so good. For breakfast we had pancakes, breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs and sausage, fruit and an omelet; all come with their country potatoes which were cooked to perfection, you can tell they put love in their food. We love the fishing and hiking and enjoy the weather, while using the tent cabins. The owners are very kind and always help if necess. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Its a great location to reach the upper lakes. Each time even better. I love this cozy western vibe of the place. Staff is very friendly and efficient as well.
