Peaceful & Cozy, A Maine Retreat

  • Nestled in Bremen, this delightful chalet offers a serene escape for guests. With 3 cozy bedrooms including a king, queen, and full bed, as well as 1.5 bathrooms with a relaxing bathtub, this terrific property is perfect for a family or group getaway. On the main floor, enjoy views on three sides, comfy couches, a curated bookshelf, and cards and board games. Cook meals for your guests in the fully-stocked kitchen. Relax in the basement entertainment den where you can enjoy the 65" television (hooked up to major streaming services) with kids toys, puzzles, and activities, and an additional full sofa bed for extra sleeping space. Take in the views and enjoy the breeze from the elevated deck overlooking the water. Walk down to the lake for swimming, and kayaking on 77 feet of private waterfront. Head to the nearby historic town of Damariscotta for restaurants, shops, and other activities. Our family has made fantastic memories during our time here, and we're sure you will too!

We had a great time at this property. Comfortable surroundings and everything you need. The downstairs space was great for the kids!

The perfect location for exploring beautiful spots along the coast and having a relaxing place to come back to. Sitting by the pond edge morning and evening to see and hear the loons was an extra bonus (though the house is across the street from the pond but with easy access). The dining/ living area was great for evenings together with friends. The host was great with keeping in touch. Be mindful that the upstairs queen bedroom has the slanted ceiling peaks to have to maneuver around.

While everything about the house was great they best art of my stay was the owners reaction to a major problem. When I arrived in the late Friday afternoon the heat was out. This was a big problem because of the sub freezing temperature. The house was freezing. The owner was extremely responsive and worked with me for about 3 hours to figure out what the problem was. By the time we figured it out it was too late to get someone there to fix it. I made it through the night with lots of blankets and in the morning someone showed up in the morning to fix it. All this happened on Friday night and Saturday so I’m sure it was difficult to find someone to repair it. After it was fixed I planned to ask for a discount but the owner offered to give me one before I asked. the owner’s response to a major problem, on the weekend, was fantastic and I enjoyed the rest of my stay. Highly recommend.
