Lynda’s cottage, Number One, is fantastic! I honestly can’t fault it at all. From the lovely welcome basket with locally freshly made goodies, a nice card and Easter egg for the kids, very comfy beds, folders with info of the surrounding area and the cottage, to communications from Lynda before, during and after our stay, I just have to say we’ll definitely be booking up again. This is a gorgeous spotless little village cottage (plenty of room for 4), just a perfect home from home and so cosy and comfy. Its a terrific base for exploring the East Coast. The Panmure Arms is the local hotel/pub which is two minutes across the road from the cottage and this along with Sinclairs Bistro do lovely food if you don't want to travel far. There is also a Fish n Chip shop and a local Spar and a little local newsagents too. If you want to travel for something to eat I highly recommend the Anchor Inn at Johnshaven, the food was delicious. This was probably the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in and Linda left us a beautiful generous welcome pack for our arrival, which was truly appreciated. Edzell is a friendly village with the local pub two minutes walk away with good food. Lovely walks from the front door would recommend this as a place to stay for couples and families. ##### Roger B.
