"Very clean. AC/heater fan was as loud as a jet engine and you couldn’t turn it down. Staff very courteous. Breakfast decent for a complimentary hotel breakfast."
"Due to precautions concerning COVID19, most of the amenities were closed. Still it is a nice, convenient property and I would definitely stay again when in the area."
"Keiner war vor Ort, uns den Schlüssel zu geben, sind wir weggefahren zum nächsten Hotel und nun müssen uns kümmern um sicher zu sein dass keiner das Geld abbucht für das Zimmer wir nie hatten. "

"We had a warm welcome when we got to the hotel. Any questions we had, they had the right information. Everything thing was clean and up to date. I love the fact that though out the lobby and the rooms they had local artists and students artwork. "
"This is the third time we have stayed at the black bear lodge in Stratton and every time we stay our experience is the same.. excellent. The staff are all so nice and accommodating, the property is clean and the breakfast is perfect. The rooms are comfortable and clean, it really is the perfect place to stay in Vermont. See you in October. "

"Staff was great. Room pretty clean, but cracked window, pool out of service but the front outside had beautiful landscaping and picnic table. 0 frills, yet location was perfect for our stay."

"We had an excellent off-season stay here. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, with very comfortable beds. The whole property is friendly to dogs on leashes(except possibly inside The Red Slate Restaurant). We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time exploring nearby Manchester, Londonderry, and Dorset. The Red Slate had an excellent menu and we ate there for 2 dinners and breakfasts (reservations on Open Table Suggested). The bar features all Vermont made beer, wine, and liquor, with inventive cocktails. We would highly recommend!
Please note that during the off-season A/C was not available in our room, the outdoor pool was closed, the only access to 2nd floor is via stairs, and the room interior was slightly outdated. These things did not negatively effect our trip in any way. Will definitely stay here again. :)"

"This was such a great find! First time staying at a ski resort and it was perfect! Really enjoyed the ski in / ski out. We had beautiful views from our room complete with balcony overlooking the slopes! Loved the heated outdoor pool and hot tubs. Fire pits outside were also nice to have. Very cozy atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the hotel."
