"I had a much better experience during this trip than my two previous ones—they are trying very hard to improve the guest experience. Prior to booking, I looked at reviews and they were as damning as my previous experiences. However, there are very few choices in this part of Toronto and o had no choice but to go there. It takes a while for the reputation to rebuild, and I have to say that this time the negative reviews do not actually reflect the actual experience. I was pleasantly surprised and I would not hesitate to go back. They do have a lingering issue with one elevator being down, and they don’t seem to have solved this problem. We were frustrated by how long it took to catch the elevator. A hotel with 21 floors can’t function well with just 2 elevators. Everything else was fine."

"Perfectly acceptable, if slightly determined to make us work for it. We arrived around 5:00 p.m., two hours after the advertised check-in time, and the room still wasn’t ready. Not quite the triumphant arrival one hopes for after a day of travelling. Once we finally got in, though, the room itself was absolutely fine: clean, comfortable and entirely adequate for the job. The hotel is fairly basic and there isn’t much immediately nearby in the way of restaurants, so don’t arrive hungry unless you’ve already made a plan. Overall, nothing disastrous, nothing luxurious — just a very average hotel that eventually provided us with the room we had booked. I’d stay again if the location suited, but I wouldn’t build a holiday around it."
