Relaxing Getaway on Mt Hood - Right on the River!

"Got very good instructions from owner well in advance of the stay. The home was furnished with warm family furniture, window treatments, kitchen accessories and appliances that made us feel like we were part of the family. The wood stove was large enough to run you to the river to cool off had we taken advantage of using it. Watching the salmon make their return trip home after spawning was a wonderful scene as a dozen or so entertained us. Will remember this to share with friends. Only two of us were there and it would have been comfortable with 6 or more family members."

"We arrived on time. So we were able to check out the area prior to dinner. The layout was good. The light switches are not intuitive. The unit had 2 bedrooms with their own bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. The shower was refreshing. A washer/dryer is in the unit. One room is downstairs and the other is upstairs. The top of the stairs goes up to a landing with a little desk in the cutout. There is a step up from the landing to the desk area. If you are not careful it is easy to trip on the step down. The carpet blends the two levels to look like one level. We were at this location in order to hike near Mt Hood. Distance was reasonable. We brought food to cook and pack sandwiches. The kitchen was a good size and had the pans necessary to cook a decent dinner. Salt/pepper, sugar and one pack of coffee for the drip coffee maker were provided. The property is owned by Wyndham. So the place is equipped with the typical accommodations. We had a nice evening to be able to sit out on the deck. We did not use the hot tub or pool. There is a small playground."
