It is within walking distance to the Toccoa River and National Forest for fishing, canoeing/kayaking, and hiking. Nearby are the Appalachian or Benton McKaye Trails, with lots of day trips, waterfalls to discover, and outdoor activities to enjoy! Not an outdoor person? Relax in the luxuries of the cabin or go to downtown Blue Ridge, which features many shops, restaurants, and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway to McCaysville. We take pride in a well-decorated, clean, organized, and prepared cabin. Walking into this real log cabin, you will find upscale furnishings, locally handcrafted furniture, and three levels for your family vacation enjoyment or romantic weekend getaway! You can also take a working vacation with our WiFi-DSL. Outside is a great view of the four-sided wrap-around covered porch with a picnic table, hanging swing, and rocking chairs. The main level has cathedral ceilings, a fully stocked kitchen, a 6-seat dining room, and a comfy open setting with a real-rock wood-burning fireplace and smart TV to stream your shows. We have plenty of wood; just bring your starter logs. Here, you’ll find French doors to the porch from either the living room or Master Bedroom, with a comfy pillow-top king-size bed and a large bathroom with a newly redone modern shower. On the deck, have a BBQ on the grill and sit at the picnic table for an outdoor meal. Rest in the porch swing or hammock. Roast marshmallows in the newly updated rock 14' fire pit while telling stories of the day! (BRING DURAFLAME LOGS) The SouthWestern style Queen Bedroom (pillow-top mattress)and private bathroom with shower are upstairs in the loft. The overlooked loft area has a desk and chair for working, reading or writing. The lowest level has a private queen-size bedroom and full bath, as well as a washer/Dryer area. The Game room has an electric fireplace, a large 62 " Flat-Screen Smart TV with hundreds of channels or find a fun old movie with our DVD and a big DVD Library. Try your luck on one of the many board games. Throw some horseshoes outside or just sit on the lower covered porch. New Artesian 5-person hot tub to relax in the woods. Look through our extensive 3-ring binder, filled with maps of hiking, biking, or driving trails, horseback riding, fishing guides, antique shops, and restaurant or boating ideas to plan your excursions! Take a short drive to Shallowford Bridge and rent a tube to float down the river. Go north for exciting river rafting on the Ocoee. Around the corner is the local VanZandts's Cafe & Grocery where you can stop in for Biscuits & Gravy or a burger with the Locals. Visit the local Apple Orchards, downtown historic Blue Ridge’s Main Street or seasonal festivals. While traveling around the US, we’ve rented many cabins. When we decided to get our own in Blue Ridge, we designed it to include all the amenities we liked, along with upscale cabin furniture and décor. Hilly, paved country roads take you through the Aska Adventure Area until just the last mile, which is a gravel groomed road. It's not too steep, and our driveway is paved! My favorite thing about our weekend stay was feeding the deer. The cabin was spotless and beautifully decorated. The owners were easily contacted when needed. It was fully equipped with everything you needed. My family especially enjoyed roasting marshmallows, being in the hot tub and putting out food for the deer, which we saw multiple times during our stay. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. GA mountains Wonderful property in a clean & quiet neighborhood, and easy to get into Blue Ridge or Ellijay. Good communication with the hosts made the whole process quick and easy. The cabin is clean, very well stocked, comfortable and relaxing. The deer visited us one evening, and there was plenty of firewood. The Host/owners really know how to pay attention to every detail to make your experience memorable and comfortable. The porch was great, fire pit was nice, and we fed the deer every day. The setting is exactly what we were looking for. The decorative appointments, a real fire place, pre-cut and dry wood, a hot tub to unwind, space to spread out, a large ktichen table to lay out a delicious dessert buffet, a luxurious main bedroom shower, picturesque wrap around porch, couches allowing you to cozy up, and a wide open ceiling. We visited for a weekend with children, spouses and two grandchildren and everyone was comfortable, had their own bathrooms, and something interesting to do throughout our time at the cabin. I’ve told my family in the past I wanted to spend Christmas in the mountains and always waited too late to book. Well this year I decided this was going to be the year! I decided on Aska Escape after a few weeks of searching. It had everything I wanted in a cabin, Mountain View, hot tub, porch swing, fire pit and a fire place. The home was beautifully decorated for the holidays so there wasn’t a need to bring our own Christmas decorations. The cabin had everything you could imagine, the kitchen was fully stocked which allowed me to prepare my Annual Christmas Brunch and hubby and daughter to make dinner. My family and I throughly enjoyed our time and plan to make this a new tradition. The only downside we encountered was the power went out on the downstairs bedroom outlets and my daughter was unable to plug in her heating pad , I think the heater may have tripped the breaker. I did message the owner, who promptly responded “ the cabin was well stocked with blankets and recommended we turn up the heat “. My hubby thought someone should have come out to look at the breaker, but the owner wasn’t able to send the cleaning staff. My daughter just doubled up on the blankets.
