All amenities needed were there. Well stocked and appointed. Lots of outdoor spaces. We used the grill and it worked great! Only issue was very steep driveway. Helps to back in. Great convenient location!
Good communication from the property manager. It’s a great area and we realized this is actually the same neighborhood we stayed in years ago when we first travelled to GA. Exact same model cabin too. It’s small but enough for two people. We had to message for instructions on the fire place but we got a quick response. I wondered if the fire place had a fan as I’ve seen gas fireplaces with a fan to help warm the room but didn’t see one. We had to rely on the heat mostly, but it worked quite well and kept us warm all night. Loved that it was dog friendly but be aware there really isn’t a yard for your pet to use the bathroom. It’s a nice walk around the mountain roads though with your dog if you’re up for it. There were also a few spots that could have been cleaned a little better but overall it was fine. Appreciate the stay and thank you for the great communication.
Very sweet and clean cabin. Driveway was challenging because very steep and bunk beds not very comfy but otherwise lovely little cabin for the price not far from town but still felt remote and private. Would recommend!
Wonderful and welcoming host! The cabin is beautiful and clean. The sounds from the creek produced a tranquil ambiance. The firewood provided for the firepit was a bonus!
We had a lot of fun there were 5 of us so we were short one chair at the table but kitchen was well equipped. We were not able to get the gas logs lit.
This place was great for our family. We utilized the fireplace outside, which was awesome. Right next to a creek, sitting around a fire listening to the water flow in the creek was very serene. The place was pretty well stocked, the kitchen and grill were also very useful during our stay. The location was great, only like 15 minutes from downtown blue ridge. The road to the cabin was a little challenging in a couple of spots due to some ruts but we were fine in our little SUV. Overall a great stay in the cabin.
A beautiful cabin, exactly as listed, extremely clean and very well stocked. Great floor plan, very, very comfortable. But best of all is the porch, nestled into the trees. So very calming, plus you’ ll be able to hear the creek down below. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming. We plan to go back next year if the cabin is available!
Rented this cabin for a long weekend with my husband, daughter, two dogs, and our friends. The check in process was super easy. The cabin does has a road between you and the creek which was unfortunate because we wanted our dogs to be able to play in it. Other than that, the cabin was extremely clean so much so that I was not worried about my daughter crawling around inside. You can hear the water all night since it is so close and the fire pit at the bottom of deck is very relaxing. Owner was extremely quick in responding to questions regarding the property which always makes things easy. The driveway is steep so make sure your vehicle can make it up such an incline. Make sure you lock the trash because we did hear a loud animal one night trying to get in. Other than making sure you bring some extra essentials (dishwashing detergent and trash bags) the cabin pretty much had everything we needed.
I would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in the woods.
This cabin is located off the main road, about one mile down a gravel road. It feels very secluded but it’s not. Downtown Blue Ridge is a short drive away. The weekend we visited, there was an ice/snow warning, so we were a bit stressed about the extreme incline of the the paved driveway. We decided to park at the time of the driveway, across the road, in a little pull off area, as opposed to the driveway. Thank goodness we did or we would have been stuck!
Once at the cabin, we were very pleased! The cabin is very clean with anything you could need for a short stay. There is a decent sized living/kitchen area, with nice leather furniture and a fireplace. Beautiful views our all of the windows. There were also board games and s’mores makings- nice touch!
On the first floor there was a private room with a queen bed and another private bedroom with twin beds. The beds are for kids less than 12- otherwise there’s not enough room between the top and bottom bunk. My kids enjoyed them. The bathroom for these two bedrooms is the first level bathroom, off the living area. Upstairs, there’s a king size bed with a private bathroom. It is open air to the rest of the cabin. Nice view from this room.
The best parts of this retreat are the double decks and fireplace area. They all over look a running stream. It feels like a treehouse because the cabin is built into the hillside. In the summer, you could definitely get in the creek. The bottom deck is huge and a great place for kids to play! Lots of nice touches like strong lights which mad the nighttime feel magical. For dog lovers or people with little kids, the whole deck area is connected and gated in.
The outdoor areas would be challenging for people with mobility issues.
I would defiantly recommend this cabin- it is a serene break away from everyday life.
