Our host was very responsive answering questions and providing helpful recommendations for our time in the Blue Ridge area. We are very picky about the places we stay, and this cabin exceeded our expectations. I look for comfortable beds. Covered porches with good seating. Newer hot tub. Good road with easy access to the cabin not far off a main road. Location not too steep and not requiring a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Private location. Lovely view from the outside porches. Propane grill. Adequately supplied kitchen for cooking. This cabin met all the requirements. As it turned out, it rained the entire week that we were there, but I had a wonderful stay. Because the cabin was so well designed, we read books, sat outside on the porches enjoying the fall leaves and cool weather, enjoyed the hot tub, cooked all our meals, and never left the cabin until we checked out. And it was wonderful. The cabin is 3 levels with a bedroom and bath on each level, so it would be perfect for 3 couples or to give kids their own floor. The layout of the cabin is perfect for 3 couples ( even though it was just my hubs & I) one bedroom per floor, each with a full bath. We enjoyed eating meals on the balcony overlooking the tree tops on the hill. It was close enough to town to make going to the grocery store and downtown Blue Ridge very convenient. The beds were comfortable and it was nicely set up for us and our small dog. It is on a somewhat steep gravel road that got a bit rugged after a heavy rain storm.
