The cabin was clean as well as well-equipped with kitchen supplies and games. We loved how cozy everything was. The location is secluded and lets the stars shine bright at night. We saw many deer families each day. We had to call for maintenance on an issues for refrigerator and the turnaround for the repair was swift. We had constant communication and fast responses. The cabin is modern with great WiFi, smart TVs, and has nice furniture and appliances. It is in a quiet wooded and gated area. It is in a more remote location- which we enjoyed -but there are still things to do within a half hours drive. Our favorite amenity was the outside covered deck with the fireplace, wicker furniture, picnic table, hot tub, hammock and rocking chairs. We spent a lot of our time there. Spent most of our time out on the porch in front of the fireplace. Watched and listened to the wild life around us. Heard a pack of coyotes, saw deer and squirrels running by the cabin. A great place to relax and take it easy. Not so far out that you have to travel a long distance to get back to civilization. Blueridge was only about a 30-40 minute drive. It was remote enough to feel like we were away from the hustle and bustle of the world yet close enough to civilization to feel safe and make trips to hike, tube, shop and go white water rafting. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable and the décor is lovely. The owners really have spent time making it special. It feels like a home and not a rental property. Very clean and well stocked. Great Wifi and TV streaming. The best part was the porch where we spent most of our time - relaxing in the hammock, listening to music by the fire, sipping coffee in the rocking chairs, eating and playing games at the picnic table and soaking in the hot tub. We had a wonderful vacation and definitely plan to return to Jack Bear's Cabin! ##### Jennifer S. Nicely decorated. Enjoyed both fireplaces. Our main living area was the fireplace outside with a view from the hot tub. Our stay was so enjoyable as we were the only people around. Was so quiet, no music or disturbances from other cabins. There is no problem with the grade leading to the cabin. It is gravel yet not a steep incline. Would not recommend a Corvette but a mustang had no problem at all. The place was everything I was looking for. Most likely seasonal views for mountains... once those trees start bidding, I'm sure it would be hard to see. It is exactly as pictured and such a no hassle situation.
