About this property
Blue Ridge Mountain Serenity at The Summit: Hot Tub, Tubing & Hiking Trails
The Summit is ideally located in the heart of the Aska Adventure area in Blue Ridge, GA. Specifically, The Summit is 1/2 mile away from the tubing/float drop in and gem mining; 1/4 mile away from the Toccoa River & Toccoa River Restaurant, in close proximity to hiking trail heads in either direction, yet very close to the Lake Blue Ridge Marina and downtown Blue Ridge for shopping, restaurants, etc.
Inspired by Southeast Asian travels, The Summit was designed with rustic elegance and as well as a focus on lodge quality comfort. The Summit uniquely offers 4 king master suites- each has a comfortable king bed, access to a separate full bathroom as well as the outdoors without entering the common area.
The Summit stands at the top of Bill's Ridge at an elevation of 2,365 ft., one of the highest elevations in Fannin County. It's easy to find though, as paved roads lead you all the way to the base of the mountain and continue about half of the way up the mountain. A few short minutes later, the road to the top of the mountain literally ends at this private and luxurious cabin. To add to the privacy, this mountain community is accessed by a coded gate entry and the back of the cabin and property actually adjoins the national forest. It's not hard to see why deer frequently meander through the property and are easily spotted from the deck around sunrise and sunset.
The cabin itself is constructed of hand hewn pine but the windows of this structure dominate as it boasts an enormous two story front gable and two gables on either side giving the living area and kitchen an abundance of light and awe inspiring views of the natural setting outside. A ten foot wrap around covered deck as well as an uncovered patio area allows for great enjoyment of the surroundings. Two fire places, one located on the outside deck, add to the over all warmth and charm. In addition, the deck includes two tables that both seat four comfortably for al fresco dining making it convenient to enjoy your favorite meal while enjoying the beautiful sunset. Breathtaking views as the sun sets over the mountains in the distance add to a wonderful dining experience. The cabin also boasts exquisitely hand carved teak furniture imported from Indonesia (including all of the bedroom furniture) and coupled with the hand scraped hard wood floors add to the rich feel and atmosphere of refined rustic flair. The cabin has four bedrooms which all include king beds, a high definition flat screen television, access to a separate, private bathroom with shower and/or tub and also access to the outdoors without going into the common areas to allow maximum privacy for each guest. The master bedroom has a separate shower and jetted Jacuzzi tub as well as it's own private and very spacious West facing veranda, a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. In addition, each bathroom has been carefully styled with it's own blend of natural travertine stone which adds to the rustic feel of the cabin. The recreation room downstairs includes plush carpeting, thirteen foot ceilings, enormous transom windows, a championship billiard table along with a ping pong conversion set, television as well as a full wet bar with refrigerator and dishwasher. A six person fully jetted hot tub is located off of the recreation room outside and has gorgeous views of the surroundings. A 43' LG flat screen with center voice speaker in the great room allows you to enjoy your favorite movies and sports while on your vacation.
Most importantly, the location of The Summit is unsurpassed for all of your vacation needs. It can be reached by a short drive from the town of Blue Ridge down Aska Rd which is one of the most beautiful drives in the Blue Ridge area, or by Rock Creek and Stanley Creek Rd. which winds through a canopy of forest as it makes it's way through the Rich Mountain Wildlife Preserve. Excellent hiking and trail heads are 3 miles in either direction down Aska or Stanley Creek Rd., with a beautiful waterfall easily accessible from the Stanley Creek Rd. trail head. The entrance to the mountain where The Summit is located is within walking distance of the Toccoa River where an abundance of trout fishing and rafting are available. It's location is also less than 1/4 mile to the Toccoa Riverside restaurant which sits along side the river with great views of the rushing waters below, and specializes in freshly caught trout. Another 1/4 mile down from the restaurant is the Toccoa Wilderness Outpost which offers rafting gear, grocery supplies, as well as a full breakfast menu each morning and home made barbecue for lunch. Just on the other side of the river is beautiful Lake Blue Ridge. The lake can be accessed by boat launch 5 1/2 miles down Aska Rd or by driving another few miles to the marina. Pontoon boats and jet ski rentals are available by the day or half day. In addition, less than an hour away, the Ocoee River with class 3, 4, & 5 rapids offers some of the best adventure rafting and kayaking in the region. If adventure isn't on the agenda for the day, the charming town of Blue Ridge offers a beautiful setting to take in it's quaint shops and cafes and it is also the departure location for the famous Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. This cabin has a unique blend of refinement and unquestionable rustic charm which is complimented by it's one of a kind settings. It is our hope that this combination allows you to better feel the distinctive beauty as well as the rugged wilderness that are both hallmarks of the North Georgia Mountains and serve as the perfect site for this unparalleled get away that we call The Summit.

The indoor and outdoor spaces were comfortable and inviting. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The weather was cool and we enjoyed our evenings by the fireplace and at the pool table. We had a wonderful time and loved the many nearby hiking trails.
Looking for a cabin that would fit 4 couples, we really lucked out with the Summit.
All the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of room inside and out. We especially enjoyed the large wrap around deck and outdoor fireplace.
We will definitely try to book again next year.
This house was perfect for our annual friends - 4 couples cabin & hiking weekend. Having 4 bedrooms with 4 kings beds was biggest plus. this cabin had all the amenities and was well equipped. Loved the outdoor and indoor fireplaces. The table and living space was a bit snug for 8 but we made it work. Would definitely recommend and plan to come back when in Blue Ridge.
This cabin was perfect for our group of 8 adults. We loved how each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom (and the beds were very comfy too!) Beautiful furnishings, designer touches, and the lovely views made our stay feel extra special. The owners were very responsive to our questions and provided lots of information about the local area and activities. Close to the Aska trails and downtown Blue Ridge. It’s worth the drive up the mountain for the privacy and views this cabin offers its guests. Highly recommend!
Serenity at the Summit is appropriately named as our family had a peaceful and relaxing week during Christmas. The younger adults in our group had plenty to do and the elders had time to unwind and read by the fire or watch movies. This retreat is a little tough to drive up to but well worth it. Beautiful views all around. Owners were kind, patient, and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.
The cabin was very nice and clean. The owners were very professional and they stayed in contact with me throughout my stay to make sure everything was okay and they also notified us of a few changes that had been made. We would definitely book with them again. The only other thing that you should know is that the cabin is located at the very top of the mountain and there is a very sharp curve and hill right before u pull in the driveway so be careful bc you will spin your tires especially if it has been raining, but aside from that we definitely enjoyed the cabin.
The cabin was spacious with plenty of room for everyone. The setting was peaceful and quite and very relaxing.
We especially enjoyed the outdoor fireplace at night. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes.
A couple of the beds were in need of new mattresses and pillows. One of the bathrooms had no towels. The drive up to the cabin was a little scary the first time but caused no issues for our vehicle. Would not want to travel it in the dark.
Over all our accommodations were very nice and we had a wonderful time.
This was perfect for our big family. Had rooms perfect for an adults only trip. We loved that they had plenty of bathrooms and space to hang out. The owners were amazing and communicated quickly and clearly with us. We would love to stay here again!
The cabin was very clean and a great layout for a girls trip - there were four of us and it was great for each of us to have a king bed and our own bathroom! We cooked dinner our first night and the kitchen was well-equipped. Overall a great stay!
Over all stay was good. House keeper could have done a lot better job of cleaning the house. This property is to nice to be half way cleaned. Other than that, I would recommend it. The owners are super nice. Our stay was really great. Thanks Debbie and Brian. You have a wonderful house in Blue Ridge, Ga.
Party of 7 adults. We enjoyed the big porches and the gas fire places were amazing! Four bedrooms with their own baths were exactly what we needed. The living area accommodated lots of card playing and conversation.
Great for a quiet getaway!
The property is very nice, a lot of space to spread out between the 3 floors. Only negative is that the thermostat is locked so you can’t lower the temperature below 72 degrees and everyone in all the bedrooms got hot during the night since it’s summertime. Otherwise it was a great house to stay in.
Could not have found a better place to spend a long weekend. Just hung out, celebrated a birthday, played games, warmed by the fireplace, watched movies and deer roam about. It was perfect! Blue Ridge is a lovely town with lots of shops. The Sweet Shoppe has great cupcakes and a delicious coconut cake!
Debbie & Brian thanks for sharing your home and responding so quickly when we had questions.
Our party consisted of four couples, so having four bathrooms was great. The cleaner could have done a better job. We found empty water bottles on the couch and a better job dusting. With that being said, we would stay again. The host were very responsive. The view was phenomenal. We had a great time!!

My friends and I have began a tradition of taking a couple's cabin trip once a year and this cabin was perfect for us! The four king suites was the perfect layout for our weekend. We had a great time!!!! My only bit of advice for people interested in this cabin would be to be sure to drive a 4 wheel drive vehicle with great tires. The road to the cabin is steep and the last turn prior to reaching the drive way is quite narrow.

Liked: Communication, location
good house but needs work
Great location and layout and close to blue ridge. Notified the owner we had very poor water pressure. The toilets could barley refill if a faucet was running much less trying to have multiple showers running for a 4 bed/bath master house but were told there has never been a problem before which is highly unlikely. Premium pricing for sub par accommodations which was not what we expected. 1st time in 10 years we have been bummed in blue ridge for our trout trip. Wish people would just be honest. Sorry but will not return
Our weekend stay at the Summit was just what the doctor ordered! So glad we booked in advance to get a quick December get-away for the 8 of us. The accommodations were absolutely perfect for 4 couples to have private restrooms and king-sized beds in each bedroom. We searched a long time to meet that requirement and the Summit delivered!
Communication with the owners, Debbie and Brian was always easy and timely from before the trip and all through the trip. Definitely a plus!
Pros: Amenities. Cleanliness, Spacious bedrooms, Spacious patios. Outdoor entrances/exits from each bedroom, Updated and modern decor and fixtures, dishes, utensils, cookware, nice-sized refrigerator, firewood, strong wi-fi, nice entertainment level with pool/ping-pong table and of course, beautiful views!
Cons: The final drive up to the cabin through the narrow roads and sharp turns are NOT for nighttime! Be careful! It was very hard to control the flames on the stove and setting the temps for the oven. Even on low, the stovetop had high flames. If you cook in the oven, watch your food…or it will burn quickly (regardless of temp you set). Put items on lower rack in the oven. No pantry space if you bring a lot of snacks/non-perishable food. It is recommended you bring those items in plastic stackable tubs. That worked for us.
Overall….I highly recommend this beautiful cabin! We felt right at home! Debbie and Brian truly thought about everything when building this cabin for family and friends to enjoy!
