There is lots of room to not be stuck in a small room like most places. There's a game room, an office, living room, dining room, and sun room as indoor living spaces. There are 2 kitchens (commercial and a home style kitchen with a breakfast area). Then there is the outside! The yard is beautiful with many trees and planting, a koi pond and a trail through the woods on the property. It's a beautiful place just to walk around. Very private. Locals who have lived close by a long time did not know it was here. It's that secluded. There are also plenty of places to sit outside or eat at one of the tables or in the gazebo. The lawn is big enough to walk and play games, well, maybe not football though. You also have direct access to the Huckleberry Trail at the bottom of the driveway. The location has quick and easy access to anywhere you want to go in the New River Valley. Any place in Blacksburg or Christiansburg is no more than about 10 minutes away. The 10 bedrooms were perfect for all of us, giving the couples space, but also providing sleeping arrangements for the single adults and the multiple siblings/cousins. While the weather was not conducive to staying outside much, the grounds were plenty spacious to run a couple dogs around and give them their needed exercise. Location was close to Christiansburg and Blacksburg for the needed items we bought locally, allowing us to run those errands without a long commute back and forth. We hosted the Rehearsal Dinner at the property, adding an additional 20 plus guests. The commercial kitchen provided a space for food storage and prep and there was plenty of room for everyone to go through the Taco Bar and have a place to sit for the informal dinner. Reservation and communication with the host was fantastic, including coordinating for our son and his fiancee to go by the house in the Fall to see it in person to help our planning. We are a large group and the home accommodated us beautifully. We especially enjoyed the covered porch - it had lots of seating and a pretty view of the property. The large yard was fun for corn hole competitions. Our family also enjoyed walking, jogging, and biking on the Huckleberry trail, conveniently accessed from the end of the driveway.
