"I had a pleasant and relaxed 3 night stay. I enjoyed the area. It's got q quiet suburban feel, but with restaurants, light shopping, a recovery gym and a movie theater within convenent walking distance. A great place to get some remote work done with accessibility to some healthier distractions. There's also a bustling little coffee bar catty corner and a taco & tequila joint if that's your thing. I wouldn't recommend Famille, the adjacent restaurant. It seems the kitchen might be a little too laid-back as I found a few very questionable short wavy fibers in my breakfast. Service in the restaurant the evening before was so absent that I decided not to proceed with the meal after an appetizer. I do recommend the hotel whole heartedly. Norman at the front desk was very competent, and professional without being cold."

"All staff were delightful and kind. Upon arrival our room had damage (hole in wall from door handle, broken cabinet, toilet paper fixture dangling from wall, broken lamp) - we requested another room. The amenities in our suite were minimal causing us to have to move things around to accommodate our needs for a 3 night stay. No suitcase stands, no place to unpack your folded items (dresser), 1 hook in the bathroom for wet towels. Both rooms were visibly in need of care and maintenance. The amenities in the common areas are nice and themed with a good vibe."

Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon

"My only disappointment was that the cabin we were assigned had no electricity. To be fair, the website did say the rustic cabins have no electricity, but I missed that - that is on me. Nonetheless, it was comfortable and they provided some battery operated replica lamps that provided a soft lighting. The staff was friendly. Things were reasonably clean. I noticed a few things here and there that could have been better maintained, particularly in the bathroom."
Lazy Me ~ A Magical Creek-front Cabin with Hot Tub & Private Woods

"This place is amazing! It's a beautiful home that sits on a couple of acres of pure beauty. The creek is just steps from the back porch and you can hear the stream from inside the house. It is so peaceful there and so easy to disconnect from every day stresses. The hottub is an added bonus. The host is great and very welcoming. We will definitely stay here again."
