« I typically rent houses when I travel with my wife or with the entire family. I've rented a lot of houses. This rental impressed me the most with the attention to detail. The decorating was perfect for the location. Everything was high quality -- especially the beds/towels. This house has everything you need or could possibly want while staying there. « We had our annual Girls' Getaway Trip in Galena this year. There were 6 of us and the house worked out perfect. Four bathrooms was a game changer for getting us fixed up and out of the house in a timely manner. However, we didn't spend too much time away because we really enjoyed the house too. Morning coffee on the porch was amazing and I couldn't believe we didn't get eaten by mosquitoes, but it was lovely and not a bite. « Our stay was wonderfully relaxing. Our only issue were the rain storms but that was the fault of Mother Nature. The owner was in contact with us and responded quickly to our questions. The view was calming and the cabin was quiet. We plan to return next year. »

« This home was clean and had plenty of room. The car charger was such a convenience and a definite plus for us. It is a short distance to get to town using the “secret” passage. Just be aware that the passage has steps but is a lovely stroll. We sat on the porch in the morning and later in the day and watched the deer come right up the driveway toward us. We enjoyed our stay. »
