The hotel is a boutique hotel that caters mainly for short stay and business guests rather than those who wish to spend some time there.
Staff, particularly the evening crew, were lovely, helpful, friendly, responsive and appreciative that I spoke German.
My room was smaller than I expected with very little storage space for clothes and luggage. It was also very poorly lit (I couldn't read my book in bed) and could benefit from a decent bedside light and better bathroom lighting.
Not being able to use the restaurant for an evening meal (other than pizza and pasta) was a drawback as the restaurants close by are poor and somewhat expensive.
The central location is excellent for those wishing to go into Berlin and beyond with the U-Bahn a matter of a few minutes walk away. However, like most of Berlin, the surrounding area is not particularly attractive, being bland and unremarkable visually.
Be sure to check that everything in your room works when you first arrive as there could be issues with some of the fittings and equipment.
Overall though a comfortable, hassle-free week's stay - 7/10
