The hotel is located near a shopping mall with supermarket and restaurants. The hotel or I should say the guesthouse has only six units for rental. The unit I rented was a two bedroom apt with kitchen and a large living room. The kitchen is well equipped and there is also a washing machine in the bathroom. The guesthouse is artistically designed and has a warehouse retro look. The ground floor is a cafe and also the check-in area (an email will be sent out on how to check in). There is no onsen onsite but we were offered complimentary onsen visit to nearby onsen, which was a really nice surprise. The property is located across from You Me mall and short walking distance to Beppu Tower and seafront. My family totally enjoyed our stay at Hajimari and especially appreciate the spaciousness and cleanliness of the unit.
